I just had cataract surgery on both eyes. My experience was amazing. Dr Kisla i s not only a super guy, but he is amazing surgeon. I have nver had a better experience with anything health wise than what he did for me. I had no pain whatsoever after surgery and no complications with anything. Also my sight is now 20-20 and cant believe how excited i am to have it back. If you need cataract surgurey this is the place to go. read more

I was directed to an appointment with Dr. LeConte who performed a detailed exam and provided recommendations for care and set up a following exam . The doctor did his job, but staff and billing and staff were useless. I had 2 insurances to cover my visit, and some how my bill was sent to a collection agency!! I feel I have been harassed over a bill which they should have submitted correctly the first time. I would never use their services again read more

The Doctors may be good, but someone needs to look at the actual mechanics of the office. The people behind the desk can be very rude and I had a very bad refractionist who told me it didnt make a difference between 1 and 2. I had a coughing jag while waiting on the eyeglass side, I asked for water and the person behind the desk told me to go to Walgreens across the hall and buy water. I couldn't believe what she said. Not a very warm and fuzzy feeliing at this office. In this day and age we all have choices, but customer service goes a long way. I did not find that here. read more

I was looking for a new eye doctor in New Lenox where I reside,made the call to this place because I have walked pass their office located at Silver Cross hospital a few times.I had talked to a receptionist,not the friendliest(that's okay, maybe a bad day)when after taking my name ,number insurance info we get disconnected .I had tried calling three more times could not get through on the same day.Okay maybe a bad phone line or something who knows ,well no call back from them.this kind of bothers me because if your front office is not good your business usually will suffer.Maybe they don't need the business.Oh what the heck I'll try again three days later call immediately put on hold(no hello)I wait then phone goes back to ring tone and then I'm disconnected.Like I said front office not good business not so good ,bye bye read more

Dr. Timothy Kisla saved my eye! One day in early September, 2019 my left eye became red and irritated. The next day I was relieved to get an afternoon appointment scheduled with my regular ophthalmologist in Bourbonnais, IL. By the time I'd gotten to the office my eye socket had become very painful and extremely sensitive to light and I was starting to lose my sight in that eye. There, (Dr. Franklin) diagnosed me with a corneal ulcer requiring immediate specialized treatment. He contacted Dr. Kisla at Advanced Eye Care, known for his expertise in corneal care. Without immediate proper treatment I could have had a scar develop that would have ruined my sight forever. Dr Kisla, as busy as he is, let me see him that day (and many days thereafter) and put me on oral antibiotics and fortified eye drops that I had to start immediately, giving them to myself round the clock and spreading out the doses gradually as the weeks passed. I saw Dr. Kisla 3 times a week for almost 2 months (thanks to my boyfriend for driving me all those days). Dr. Kisla never gave up on me. I look back now and I can't believe how lucky I am to be fully cured. I could have lost my sight in that eye and potentially the eye itself. We feel so much gratitude to Dr. Kisla for his knowledge and care. He's a wonderful doctor as well as a wonderful, caring person. I'm also very grateful to the friendly and attentive staff who know how to put a patient at ease. read more

Dr. Kisla performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes, and provided outstanding and extremely professional service. From the initial consultation through the complete process he could not have been nicer and was fully informative at each step. The surgeries were seamless and he followed up with a well-being call later in the day after each surgery. It was obvious to me that he really cares about his patients and is devoted to providing the best care and service. I am extremely satisfied with the results and can't believe the improvement in my vision...just as Dr. Kisla advised me would likely be the case. Wonderful knowledgeable Doctor and great staff. Always professional, answers questions without rushing you, has never "pushed" me to get the cataract surgerym I know that's in my future. He just says, "when you're ready come and see me". The lady that fitted me for glasses, Denise, was terrific too. Gave me lots of frame choices and information on what type lenses I might need. Dr Kisla and Dr Sain are the best. Dr Kisla performed cataract and lasik surgery on my right eye. I have vision I have not had since a child. My vision is now 20/15. It is amazing. Thye were very helpful and caring for me. Surgery only took 10-12 minutes. The ophthalmic techs were so nice and thorough and have made me so comfortable on every visit. My surgery was in feb 2016 and my vision for distance and close is still the 20/15.My wife went to Dr Kisla for a condition of cellulitis behind her eye and he has been just as marvelous for her. The Doctor is fine, the staff however is extremely rude and unhelpful. I accidentally told them the wrong insurance at first and they acted like it was the end of the world. The women in the frames section is also rude, and not helpful at all. I have had other family members and friends go here and they all had the same poor experience. read more

Dr Kisla, and Dr Sign are fine Doctors however, the staff at the Silver Cross office are rude and very unprofessional. It all started after I canceled my contact lenses 3 days after my appointment (never had contacts before) I have an eye allergy and thought it would be more trouble than it's worth. They charge you $148 for instruction of how to wear contacts, 2 extra visits, 2 trial pairs of contacts and the doctor measuring your eyes. This $148 is in addition to the eye exam. I asked if they could reimburse me for the $148 or a portion of it because I was not using any of the services. The girl said NO that's not how we do it! I asked for a manager, they told me Christine is in charge, I left 3 messages for her, she never called back. Each time I call they say "I know who this is," "I already know what you want", I have a call into the Doctor and am still waiting for someone to return my call. Very unprofessional, I'm in a customer service oriented business (which all businesses should be) , and if any of the front desk people ever treated people the way I am being treated they would be fired immediately. These women take their jobs for granted, (front desk and receptionists) and are tainting the reputation of these fine doctors. read more
