Noble is my personal favorite. They gave my dog a treat. A very happy place to shop during the holidays. I washed it before bringing it in which freshened the tree nicely. Only issue is that my stand has a slow leak. Otherwise, it would have been a 5* experience.

On at least three other visits, I've had similar experiences with staff seeming irritated or put out when I asked questions or wanted to check out, but that shouldn't surprise me because culture is set from the top. I've tried giving them several chances because I really do love their products, but the customer experience has consistently been off-putting. I am a long time resident of Dana Point and love to support local, family run businesses…read more Unfortunately, my experience with Dana Point Nursery has been consistently disappointing, and almost entirely due to customer service. Over the years, I have found the owner, Brooke, to respond to most requests with some variation of "no." Do you carry a particular item? No. Can you order something specific? No. Can I exchange something? No. Can I return an item I purchased just a few hours earlier? No. The most recent example was a simple request for a 10-gallon plastic pot. Last week, I was told they were out of stock and to come back after Friday. When I returned this weekend, they still didn't have one. While walking through the nursery, I noticed a used 10-gallon pot and asked whether I could buy it. The answer was no, and I was told to come back next week. The problem wasn't that they were out of stock. Businesses run out of products all the time. The problem was the complete lack of initiative to help solve the customer's problem. A simple offer to order one when I first visited, or even an attempt to suggest an alternative, would have turned a frustrating experience into a positive one. Instead, I went to Armstrong and bought what I needed there. What makes this particularly disappointing is that Dana Point Nursery depends on the support of the local community. Most people want to support independent businesses, but customer loyalty is earned through helpfulness and service. Unfortunately, after several experiences like this, I have decided to take my business elsewhere.

The driver left the arrangement outside of our gate instead of walking it down the alley to our front door, so I didn't initially know where the flowers were. I had to call the shop, and they sent someone back out. The flowers sat outside for a bit, which was stressful, but they handled it once I called. The only real feedback I have is around value. Compared to the first arrangement I ordered a couple months ago (for my wife's birthday), this one felt noticeably smaller. It may have been because it was right before Valentine's Day -- I understand that prices and availability can shift during holidays -- but for close to $200 including delivery and tip, I did expect a little more volume. That said, I will still be coming back. On a previous order, there were quality issues and they completely corrected it by sending a new arrangement, which I genuinely appreciated. They've earned my trust as a company that stands behind their work. Beautiful flowers, solid customer service -- I just hope future arrangements feel a little more substantial for the price.

They told me when the next shipment was coming and there it was ... the perfect second tree. The trees were fresh and lush. Kendrick especially was awesome at helping me find exactly what I was looking for. He was patient, kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable and securely tied both trees to my car for the ride home.
