Brought my car here to see if there was an issue (3 other mechanics between Colorado and Virginia…read moretold me there was nothing wrong) and was told it needed $900 worth of work for a new hub bearing which was "completely bad" and my alignment was off. I picked it up and paid the $200 diagnosis fee no problem, so that I could take it to the collision shop to have it covered by insurance since we had recently hit a deer. The collision shop tells me there's nothing wrong with it. He drove it around all morning and apologized that he couldn't replicate my issue and that the hub bearing and alignment was perfect (we also just had new tires put on last week). I call winners circle back just to ask about it, I explain the situation, the woman says she will go talk to them.. and immediately hangs up on me. I call back and no one answers. I contact sales.. the man assures me that my other mechanic is not reputable and all the other mechanics are wrong and they can't lead me astray (every dealership I've ever been to leads me astray) despite explaining I'm a military wife with 3 children and a deployed husband and through tears- this man starts trying to sell me a new vehicle again. I didn't even want the $200 fee back. I just wanted to be told the truth that I had been deceived and taken advantage of. It was like talking to a brick wall. I'll never do business with this dealership again. I warn others not to trust their schemes. I have documentation and photos proving I've been lied to and they just told me to go to any other Chrysler dealership to get the same diagnosis - of course - there's notes on my VIN and they will all say the same thing. I know they say not to trust mechanics but what ever happened to good honest work? I'll be contacting the BBB.

I recommend this dealership for anyone who's looking for a brand new or used vehicle. The staff was completely awesome!

I brought in my 71' Oldsmobile Cutlass with a 350 rocket for a frame on restoration. I was quoted…read more$18,500 for the restoration with a time frame of 1 year. I had two new body panels for them to put on. After one year passed I was told more time was needed, and East Side Rides ended up asking for ~$30,000 in total. Another 2 years later, almost no work was done. They put on the body panels that I provided, but they were barely hanging on. I went around to many different local shops to find the right one. This shop claimed to believe in family values. How they handled the situation, and the end result was very disappointing. Avoid East Side Rides. I keep hearing other stories from people who have been screwed over by this shop, even years after this incident.

I own a beautiful Olds Cutlass that had a leak and some rust. It purred like a kitten, then I took…read moreit to Eastside rides. They assured me it was in good hands. I told them I wanted it to come out as it went in. They took it apart and did some work and told me to get it. I did and there were scratches and leaking and the battery- a new battery was dead. I called them and then I was told they would fix it. I was their best customer. After a week they said come get it. I did and barely got home. The battery was barely charging 12 and it originally charged at 14. I went to them again and was told that they were done with me and figure it out myself. I had it towed to another shop to get a new battery and was told the oil pan and rear axel was leaking. It was above what could do at the shop. I then towed it to another place because something Eastside rides did is drawing my battery. The other place fixed it but I have to go to a different place to fix the axel seals. Ii told them not to touch the perfectly working carburetor. They did mess with it and I drove the car to get gas and it broke down for the first time ever. Even the police officer who helped me get a tow said whoever messed the car up should be ashamed. I sent it to the shop again and realized Eastside Ridestook my Rochester carburetor and swapped it with a limp with a low quality one probably off EBay. They do that often. I even got in touch with Dave Kindig and told him this terrible experience. After I get it back the next time, I am going to get the seals fixed. They need to hit a wall I would discourage anyone from patronizing this place. I paid a lot of money, was taken advantage of, and don't want anyone to make the choice I did. I am having to pay a lot more money to fix my car. They are not even worthy of 1 star.

This was the 2nd time I have used this shop since moving to Hampton July 2020. When we moved to Hampton, I immediately began searching for a family owned & operated auto repair shop. I searched Google & Yelp for the BEST shops throughout Hampton Roads. All my research indicated Guaranteed Auto Service was the place to go. I have not been disappointed! This shop is laser-focused on providing great customer-service, and top quality work at an affordable price point. They are not going to perform unnecessary work. They treat you like family (a friendly greeting & cold bottled water when you walk in the door; free car wash before you pick up your car and Thank You Note on the seat). You just don't find many businesses like this nowadays! Mr Barr & his great team will get ALL my auto repair/routine maintenance business in the future. When someone asks me where to take their vehicles for maintenance & repairs needs, I am sending them to Guaranteed Auto Repair in Newport News!
