We came to San Angelo to avoid Hurricane Beryl on the Gulf Coast. We've seen the local sites and had a few adult beverages at local bars. Blaine's Pub was super awesome. Dark. Cold. Great Cajun peanuts. COLD beer. Great music going on the sound system.

I stopped by on a random wednesday night. My wife and I are looking for a house for our Air Force daughter. I visit bars all over America, it's my hobby. This bar came up when I searched, so here I am. Bar would be an 11/10, except for the nasty, useless gal who was double charging for drinks, while playing on her phone the entire time. Sad. This historic place deserves better

This place has history and no visit to San Angelo is complete without stopping in this place a time or two. It's a cool dive bar with great *Texas* music on most Friday and Saturday nights. It's on the smallish side with an even smaller parking lot, but it's "Blaine's Pub" so just get over that folks - but plan on Ubering or walking a bit to get there. Why do you want to hang out here? I'll tell you. - They open at 7am - I'm NOT joking! - $2.50 longnecks and a full bar. - Madison at the bar is AWESOME and will take care of you. - A side room with two pool tables. - Last but certainly not least, they have an indoor bathroom, LOL! They even brag about it on their sign out front. Jack Ingram, a young Pat Green, and many more big artists played here before they blew up the Texas music scene, and they still get some good bands here, so make it a point to stop in.

More of a family friendly environment, smoke free, but a patio out back for the smokers. Full bar with beer in bottles and a few on draft, even some local breweries. And live music on the weekends, saw Sunny Sweeney this visit for $10

A Hidden Gem That Absolutely Blew Me Away ;}…read more Went here on a recommendation from a local--and let me just say: WOW. Holy sh*t, this place is the real deal. The food, drinks, service, and music were all on point. There's just something electric about the vibe here--cozy, welcoming, but lively as hell at the same time. The owner was there the night we went, and she's just the sweetest. Seriously. She even made the shrimp herself for my buddy's birthday, which is just next-level hospitality. Now, onto the food. I had the shrimp (obviously, had to try it after that), and also went in on two orders of the 6oz steak. And let me tell you--I've lived in Texas my whole life, eaten more steaks than I can count, and this was hands down top 3 best I've had in 30 years. Perfectly cooked, juicy, seasoned just right. No notes. The staff? Amazing. Our waitress was friendly, quick, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there. You could feel the positive energy among the team--it was infectious, and it made the whole experience even better. Now, let's talk drinks. I ordered the Granada Spritz 6. First sip? I thought, "Okay, this is good--not mind-blowing, but solid." But damn, was I wrong. The more I sipped, the better it got. It starts off with a tart kick--kind of like a limey sparkling water--but then it settles into this smooth, slightly sweet pomegranate flavor that sneaks up on you. Long story short: I had three of them. Fast. All in all, this spot hit every note just right. Great food, awesome drinks, genuine people, and a killer vibe. This is officially going to be a weekend regular for me.

PISS POOR!!! Honestly this bar has been the most disrespectful bar I have ever been too (I have…read morebeen to all bars on 6th street and Rainey street, and all the bars in San Angelo), and this one tops the worse of them all!!! I asked for my receipts since I only physically signed 2 receipts (but was charged well over $100) for 4 beers and 1 shot, yet the "owner" wouldn't provide them. They only door checked guys, had a flawed bar service, and overall disrespectful. If we travel back to San Angelo this will NEVER be a bar we return to or recommend to people!

2.0 Stars Overview…read moreLocation: I moved here after the new location. The location itself is pretty large. It is almost too big considering I have been her 5x and no one has shown up. There is no actual decoration for this bar/night club. The dance section of the club is set off with different flooring. The music is played outrageously loud. It is beyond being able to hear anyone. Like majority of the bars this new locations is downtown. So far this new location is in a great area. Customer Service: The customer service at this location is okay. They can make any drink you ask for and even have recommendations for new tastes. However, the bartenders working here like to take their time to make a drink. Every time I have come here it is dead, maybe a handful of people are here hanging out. I will stand at the bar and the same 3 women that have helped me move very slow. If you are a smoker you better finish your drink before going out to light up. The few times I have been here, I will go outside to have a cigarette and my few friends will join me. When we come back in we find our table empty with no drinks sitting on them. After speaking with the bartenders it is a huge issue to get a new drink although we are standing next to the front doors and the place is dead. Quantity/Quality: The quantity of the drinks are a little more pricey than other bars I have been to. The quality of the drinks are a little watered down with not enough alcohol. Side Notes: This club is always dead. Not the best to have a drink. Anywhere other than here is the place to be.
