It's a nice little nano brewery. Bartender was very nice and informative about the downtown area.

Beer was warm at best couldn't finish pint. To be tap house in Texas they probably need a better cooler or chilled taps or mugs. Very overrated by app. read more

Love this place. Smaller sure but with the outside table seating it makes up for it. Bring your own food in as you please. Dog friendly as well. Always good local company to strike up a convo with I find here. The woman who works there most all the time is super kind and helpful with matching you up with what you want or look for. You gotta be sure to score their killer weekly specials they have! My favorites are the Tuesday flight day, $7 all 4 flight samplers. And the cider Saturdays. $4 any pint of cider you want. They always have 4 to 5 ciders running which I love so its nice to have options here. Overall great downtown taproom for beer. read more

Fun local micro brewery with a really wide variety of suds to choose from. The place is small in geography, but the personalities were Texas sized. At about $5 a draft, you get a good cold brewski of your choice. If you can't find a beer you like here, you have problems. A nice porch wraps around one side and people who bring big fluffy fun dogs sit out here. The few inside tables have various games sitting around. Uninspiring art work hangs on the wall, with small signs that state you can purchase one for hundreds of dollars. A nice mural fills almost an entire wall. If they were to clean their large windows, they would have earned a fifth star. I love quality local businesses. Recommended. read more

No visible 51% sign at the entrance door. Violation of Texas Law Attacked by dog as I opened the door. Good thing I didn't pull my pistol... Was told to pet the annoyed dog to calm her down. Didn't put my hand anywhere near the dog showing her teeth. Walked slowly to the bar with my hands in the air. Stood at the end of the bar for 10 minutes waiting for the only staff (bartender/dog.) Never was greeted, other than the dog. Never offered a menu. I'm fairly sure I was on the dog's menu. Never asked what I wanted. Not even acknowledged I was there. Well, the dog did great me at the door... While waiting, I spot the 51% sign, not near the entrance door. Violation of Texas Law. As I am a law-abiding citizen, I decided to leave because I was packing. Turned and slowly walked away backwards. No one said a word... Moral of this review: Skip this animal shelter, save your money, and go to Zero One Ale House. They will treat you like a fat-cat! Fantastic craft brews and equally fantastic food. Great little place in San Angelo to grab some really good draft beer. They have seating inside and outside and a great laid back vibe that makes you feel at home instantly. The bartender was friendly and she made some great suggestions regarding the beers. They have their own brews and we tried a couple and really liked them. On Saturdays you can get a pint of one of their beers for $3, heck of a deal. We sat outside, which is dog friendly, and enjoyed a beautiful day and some really good beer. There is no pretense here, they are what they are, which is a comfortable, relaxing place. We will definitely be coming back here next time we are in town. If you are in the downtown area and thirsty for a great beer, head over to SoCo and try one of their brews or one of their other offerings. You'll be glad you did. read more

One of the best places in San Angelo for a craft pint. The taproom is basically made up of the bar and that's it, but there is a large patio right outside with games and even an old piano if you get the urge to tickle the ivories. We took advantage of Bishop Cider Company on tap and ordered a few Crackberry ciders. All the beers on tap are from Texas, so it's a great place to try what Texas has to offer. read more

I went here on a Saturday evening to watch the College football games. Because it was my first time, I ordered a flight, which are 4 glasses and you can choose which beers to sample. Good stuff. My favorites were the Rio Blanco Pale Ale, Franconia Wheat and Pappy Slokum Douchebag Jimmy (out of Abilene, Texas). It has a nice, laid back atmosphere. I loved it. View of a 21 year, I come here every once in a while when I just wanna sit and listen to music while enjoying a craft beer I haven't tried. I'm not very educated on craft beer but the waitress easily found a good IPA I liked, based of the beer i like. She also small talked with me seeing as it was slow and she wasn't busy, which I like most about some bartenders is that they don't hide in the corner on their phone. definitely feel free to walk in anytime, try a new beer. read more

Loved this local brewery. We were met by Fiona guacamole who is the bartenders dog. She is a border collie, she will bark to greet you but is super friendly. We brought our German Shepard in and they hit it off. Amazing locals who gave us local hotspots to hit. Great conversations with everyone who passed through. Definitely a friendly crowd! Great spot for a late night drink in San Angelo. We weren't familiar with the area and just wanted a beer after dinner. A lot of the bars around the downtown area seemed like pretty typical college bars with really loud music so we walked over to SoCo Taphouse. It was great! Had music playing in the background but you could still talk, really nice bartender, people were pretty chill. Also had a very sweet dog that belonged to the bartender that just wanted some head scratches. Would definitely be back if we're going through San Angelo again. read more

This taphouse replaced Joe's Brewhouse, a bar I frequented and always felt had one of the greatest beer selections in town (but not necessarily the highest caliber of clientele). I've been here twice since the grand opening and I have to say that things have only improved! The owner, Mark, is a real visionary and I'm confident this place is going to succeed under his management. From what I understand, he really likes to focus on offering a respectable selection of Texas microwbrews, which is outstanding for true patriots and sets him apart from the local bars that work hard to make a customer feel like they're anywhere but here. If you're not from the area but want to experience the ever improving selection of TX beers, this is your place. If you want to branch out and try different types of beer beyond the common domestics found at a chain restaurant, this is your place.
