This is my second follow up review for Monica's microblading brow service. I read her response to me just now. I nicely asked for a refund since I wasn't happy with the results. At first, my brows were fine, and I liked how they looked up until the fourth day. That's when half my brows peeled off along with the color. I was told that would happen, but I didn't expect my brows to literally disappear so quickly!
As for the touch up, I did cancel the appointment as I changed my mind and asked her for a refund after talking to a friend who got this done. I no longer trusted what she said about the healing process as it didn't seem normal to have things fade this fast! She only agreed to a touch up.
That's not the same as redoing the brows. I asked her if she could do this after it's healed. Then a friend told me to not get it redone and to just get my money back as if it didn't turn out good the first time, and it doesn't turn out good the second time, I would've wasted my money.
So I changed my mind as she had a good point. I thought that Monica would be nice enough and caring enough to give me a refund, but she flat out refused to give me any refund at all. I don't understand why that is. I sent her pics of my brows that was all faded out.
Three different beauticians saw how bad they looked and said that they looked uneven and faded out. THREE! A touch up is not the same as agreeing to redo them. I was willing to wait until it was safe to redo. I paid $350 dollars plus a $60 tip for this and I'll probably never get that money back.
I did dispute the charge with the Better Business Bureau and I'm going to mail my complaint with pics to my credit card company. I'm now angry and stressed out. I don't need this aggravation! Money is tight now, so this makes thing worse than it already is!
It's natural to ask questions, especially when your brows peeled off on the 4th day. Monica got increasingly annoyed at my questions as you can tell by her response to me. I only texted her at night a few times, not constantly. Most texts where sent during the day. I texted her once on a weekend that wasn't to late and she told me that she was with her family and that she'd get back to me on Monday, so I left her alone.
Unless she clearly states to not be contacted during non business hours, then she should expect to get responses from people here and there. It's not as if I texted at an unreasonable hour like midnight!
I'd also like to add that she rudely insulted me by saying that the lady who referred me to her didn't want to accept me as a client as she had strong negative feelings about me for whatever reason based on text and phone conversations. A misunderstanding was involved, but how is that supposed to cause her to have such a negative opinion of me? Weird!
To make matters worse, Monica told me the same thing, that she had strong negative feelings about me too. I'd post up the text, but I think that yelp might take my review down if I posted up personal info, I'm not sure about that, so I won't risk it. It did happen though. It's funny to how she didn't address that when I asked her what she meant by that and what her friend meant by that.
That is extremely rude and unprofessional to say such a thing to a client who tried to resolve things nicely. All I wanted was to get my brow redone, not retouched, and when that didn't happen, I asked for a refund nicely and was refused one.
I don't believe a word that she said about the so called healing process. This doesn't seem normal to me to have my brows fade in less than a week. The color is almost all gone now! I expected some flaking to occur and the color to fade just a little, but not to the point to where my brows almost look the same as before I got this done!
So this is why I'm mad and upset. I don't believe that it's normal for my brows to fade this fast. I'm talking to a friend who has had this done, and this hasn't happened to her as the lady she went to is good and my friend thinks that maybe Monica used cheap ink. I'm not saying that she does, but that might explain why they faded so fast.
I felt like I was ripped off and disrespected. Anyone can tell from her tone that she's not the most professional person there is. Plus, two fake reviews showed up the day after I wrote mine. One of them only had a review for her service. The other one is still up although I flagged it. That should tell you something about her.
Also, I left her alone when she told me to not text her when she was on vacation. So it's not as if I was constantly bugging her with endless questions. I've never had this done before, so naturally I'm going to ask questions and freak out when a procedure that was supposed to last a year didn't even last for four days! read more
