Moved into the main area and honestly, with all the big rigs that pulled in, it can get very cramped for "privacy". Add to that some dogs and it can get very interesting. As usual at an RV site, some people have ZERO clue about site etiquette. Several folks walking their dogs around my site. My dogs did not appreciate that. But that's the only complaint I had - a bit cramped when all sites around you are full, and people are the same no matter where we camp. The people running this site are the best!! Tom helps you park and it makes it SO easy to back into the spot. First try, boom, all set!! The beach is only a few blocks away, totally walkable. That said, they also provide a ride to and from the beach on the golf cart. Very helpful when you're lugging all your beach stuff. Expensive to stay, but it was a great vacation. I'd stay here again.

The office is easy to get to and has very convenient hours. The bathhouse was very clean and had large showers. The laundry room had 5 sets of washers and dryers that are coin operated and easy to use. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk but the staff also offers free rides to and from via golf cart that we utilized several times. We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

We had seen videos of the campground online before visiting, and it honestly exceeded all of our expectations. We would definitely stay here again!

If you like to walk and get your steps in, there are plenty of rows to walk. It is all gravel, no cement slabs. You do have full hookup. The site was very quiet and near a small town that had a dollar store and a small store with gas. There is not much to do as the population is around 5K. We did go to two parks to walk our dogs. There was a stream with a beach to hang out at and tube, but no dogs are allowed. However, there was some trails to walk your dogs.

The owners are incredibly warm and present, you can tell they genuinely care about their guests. We saw them every day, and that personal touch made the experience feel welcoming and safe, not just like another RV stop. The park itself is small and cozy, which we loved. It creates a peaceful, community feel without any of the noise or chaos you sometimes get at larger parks. Traveling with our dog can sometimes be challenging, but not here. The fenced dog area was a huge win,our pup absolutely loved it and felt comfortable enough to play and explore freely. That alone made our stay so much more relaxing. Now, I have to talk about the facilities,because I'm very particular about this. The showers and bathrooms are, without question, the best I've ever experienced at an RV park. They are spotless, thoughtfully designed, and this is key, there's actually space to set down all your things. Anyone who travels regularly knows how rare and appreciated that is. I can't stress enough how valuable it is to purchase an annual SP pass, Florida has so many beautiful parks if you are traveling across the state this annual pass will more than pay for itself. Visiting this park during the off season was especially rewarding, no crowds so we practically had the entire beach to ourselves, the white sugar sand and clear warm water was the perfect place to be on a warm fall day. Although shelling was a disappointment the abundance of wildlife and native plants more than made up for it. This is definitely a state park I'd return too, maybe spend a few days here in the RV when in the area...

The resort is very clean and the staff and other campers are very friendly and welcoming. There is a great pool and hot tub, an ice cream shop, a mini store, a fishing pier and the Santa Rosa Sound beach. The resort is quiet at night and is very close to groceries and restaurants. I am so glad I found this great place for my birthday weekend trip!

Before arriving, I even received an email confirming that exact site. When I checked in, I was told they had given my reserved site to someone else and moved me to a different spot. The whole reason I booked so far in advance was to secure that particular location, so this completely defeated the purpose of planning ahead. What made the situation even worse was how it was handled. The manager never apologized or acknowledged the mistake. Instead, I was met with an attitude that made it seem like my frustration wasn't justified. A sincere apology and some accountability would have gone a long way. To "make it right," they offered a 20% discount, which honestly felt insulting given that they failed to honor a confirmed reservation on a special occasion. It wasn't about the money--it was about keeping their commitment and treating customers with respect when they make a mistake. Unfortunately, what should have been a memorable birthday started with disappointment because of the park's poor reservation management and lack of customer service. I hope they improve their processes and, more importantly, learn how to take responsibility when they let their guests down.

It is always going to be 5 star review for the Resort but this time if this review was for the Ranger I would give a ONE star because he has decided to not buy dog poop bags and some people just don't clean up after their dogs if you don't provide the basics because they are not prepared and I don't blame them because you expect to find bags like in ANY other Florida State Park to find poop bags all over. Now instead there is dog sh!t in some places that the Ranger should go and pick it up himself just because he is trying to save money to finish construction of his new office and moving resources from one budget item to another is not the solution, please poop bags are a must Mr Ranger, adhere to your budget and buy some bags so whoever is unprepared can clean up after their dog.

One odd thing is, you pull into your slip bow first due to low water on that end of the slip. Make sure you have long enough power cables and water hose as electric and water are center of the slip at the bow end of the boat. The people at the facility and customers were very nice and friendly. They do have a pump out at the dock, but we did not use it on our 3 days there. We would go back.
