This was referred to me by friends of mine as I am not a coffee person, even though I do drink it on occasion and enjoy the taste. I went for the tea (matcha iced) which was really good, and the cups were cool as well. I went with a group and the interior was nice and had a good vibe, where they also have merchandise for sale (shirts, coffee/tea equipment). My boyfriend and I stopped here before work to get our morning fix, they were super busy but the service was amazing! I ordered a caramel macchiato (hot) but they accidentally made it iced.. no problem at all because when I let them know they fixed it right away I didn't wait longer than 5 min. Ya know, not my favorite coffee shop. It's first tucked away in an odd, outta the way spot. I suppose it's convenient to those wealthy peeps in the country club, but anyone who lives down in town, it is inconvenient. Oh well. Location is important. Second, it's inside of a pharmacy. A pharmacy? Or the pharmacy is inside of it. Am I gonna go get my antidepressants and grab a coffee while I'm there? This isn't weird, at all. Ha. And...it's very pricey for a cup of coffee. A coffee. Not talking about some fancy jazzed up coffee blended drink. Just a black coffee. I'm not forking over these prices consistently and driving out of my way for this. Go to Java loft instead and save yourself the trouble. Oh and the service here ain't so great either. All around, worth the 2 stars I gave it. No thanks. read more

I love their chai tea lattes! Not overly sweet and thick and delicious. The girls turned me onto the open face bagel melts. They layer egg and cheese on a bagel, toast it, and add avocado and tomatoes. Delicious! I get mine on an everything! read more

Blackwater is such a great spot to get a good cup of coffee or a bite to go. Before COVID, I often enjoyed their wonderful seating area (hope that can happen again soon). They hands down have the best coffee in Clovis so no need to look further! I personally love their pinon drip, but they make a fantastic latte as well. Some of the syrups are made in house - so I opt for those when getting a latte. read more

Quality! Imho, the best coffee is intense and oily yet so balanced it needs neither sugar nor cream. That is Blackwater's French Press. It is the best coffee I have had in town. It costs $7 and takes 5 minutes to make but it comes in a press that could serve 4-6 cups. Probably best for caffeine addicts or a small group to share. Personally, I wish they would offer smaller, single-serving presses. The mocha was the best I had. It actually tasted like hot chocolate with espresso rather than burnt sugary coffee like it does at other coffee shops. They sell a really good raspberry white chocolate scone (it is much better than the blueberry scone). They have a small food menu during limited hours but they do each item very well. Not as crowded or low quality as the other cafes in Clovis. read more

My favorite coffee place in town. This spot beats the competition by miles. First, and most importantly, the coffee is good. They offer both espresso drinks and regular type coffee. There's also a choice between cows milk, almond- and coconut milk. And there's water, juice, smoothies in the cooler. For food, they serve hot breakfast sandwiches on your choice of bagel. I prefer the bacon- over the sausage breakfast sandwich, but my husband would probably say either is good. You can also just grab a pastry (bagel, croissant, etc.). They advertise daily soup specials as well but I haven't tried it yet. Besides the food: the atmosphere, the excellent service - it's just a wonderful place to enjoy your morning. Beautiful art on the walls, well designed seating and lots of natural light to get your day started. Bonus for toddler parents: food can be served on a durable melamine type tray/plate - no shattered plates here! If they hand you a glass plate, just ask to swap. Additional good parent stuff: - high chairs available (the easy to clean IKEA kind) - changing table in bathroom - PBJ sandwiches in the cooler (those Smuckers crustless ones) Also finding this a fun place to park with a laptop. There's ample outlets under the bench seating area. Families tend to make quick visits, so cute kids make a nice distraction from work; but overall atmosphere on a weekday is quiet/busy. read more

Blackwater Coffee is one of my favorite places to go! Whether I am just stopping in to pick up a drink to go, or meeting with friends. My favorite drink is the Matcha green tea latte, and during the fall, the Caramel Apple Matcha green tea latte is a treat! I also like that there is a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. The baristas are always helpful and friendly and they even remember my drink. It's a great place to introduce newcomers to in our community. read more

This is the nicest coffee shop in 100s of miles. The entire is full of atmosphere and a little bit of IKEA inspired looks. The core of the shop, its coffee is wonderful. No cream or sugar needed for their drip coffee. The staff is getting better with experience but can be slow at times, but that comes down to this being a fairly new establishment. Go support them we need more nice places in clovis. read more

This is a fantastic local coffee shop. It is very clean and bright and the staff is incredibly friendly. Their lattes are delicious. I have had the iced lavender latte (they make their own lavender simple syrup and sell it), as well as both the iced and hot honey latte. Last time I went in, the Barista recommended A little cinnamon in my honey latte and it was delightful! Only thing is I wish it were a little warmer inside. read more
