I've been coming to Aquila Fitness since 2018 and can't imagine going to another gym. The coaching…read moreis excellent and the workouts push you in a way that leaves you feeling like you accomplished something rather than feeling defeated. The workouts can be scaled to different levels so that you can push yourself when necessary or dial it back if needed to. The culture is very supportive and the workouts are often fun (I have heard it referred to as recess for grown up's). What I like the most about it is that I really just have to show up and not think about what to do. There is a set workout that everyone does for the same class time. For a non gym rat like me that is the golden ticket. The workout is laid out in a very easy to follow format of warmup, stretches, strength, then the main workout (Merton). The workouts vary to keep it interesting and fun plus you get the feeling of that you're in it together with other people. Make no mistake you will work hard and definitely sweat but I promise you that will leave feeling better then when you walked in the door. There is a definite lack of judgement which permeates everywhere. I have had injuries, job changes, and various life events that have kept me from going as often as I would like (or should), but upon coming back to the gym I am always greeted positively rather than scorned. The social aspect of it for me at Aquila is huge, even if it's just saying hi to someone on any given day. Final thought: if you go, definitely take advantage of the coaches' knowledge. I ask them questions often and get their opinions on things all the time. Justin, Travis, and Angie really know their stuff and are happy to share information that might help you out.

OK, I didn't do gyms for a long time. Mainly because I didn't like the factory/warehouse feel of…read morechain gyms. I feel lucky to have found a place where I get fitness that fits my level. Convenient times. I'm doing a small group personal training with Dan! Also love the cupping offering here, bruh . It's different than others I've tried. Lots of class options, including yoga! I highly recommend this woman-owned gym! Super queer friendly too!

I've been a member for about 5 months now and have been consistently going 3-4 days a week. I first…read morejoined for the Boot Camp and TRX style classes but found that my 50+ year old body was not responding to that so well, even though I was loving the workouts, so I decided to swap out a workout day for a day of yoga instead. I was intimidated at first. I have some, but not a lot of experience with yoga and the idea of doing it in a heated environment made me nervous. They have 60- and 90-minute classes. I started with the 60 min Yoga Basics class which is not a beginner class necessarily, its challenging for sure, but sticks to the more rudimentary poses and movements. It's a great class for all levels and the heated room was actually very nice. I was concerned I would feel like I was suffocating but that was not at all the case. It felt great and I was totally sweaty by the end of class. It's a damn good workout and everyone is very supportive and friendly. Since I've incorporated yoga 2 days a week into my regular routine and dropped the hard work outs down to only 2 days a week I'm feeling MUCH better. Less injury, more bendy, and continued to increase my strength. Bean and the gym staff are all great at what they do. Heather and rest of the yoga instructors are wonderful as well. I'm loving UFF and the range of options they offer! The only thing that I would warn anyone about is they are not super great at providing instruction in the boot camp and TRX classes. Most of the members are fairly experienced athletes and there's a lot of assumption that everyone knows what they're doing and what weight they should be using. In a class of 20+ people they don't have a lot of time to coach an individual person. I am not shy and will almost always ask for help if I'm not sure, but not everyone feels comfortable doing that. I can definitely say that when I have asked for help, I get wonderful feedback and assistance. If you're new at this type of fitness you can schedule a one-on-one with a trainer to help you sort out a lot of things ahead of time, so you don't hurt yourself during a class. 10/10 highly recommend!
