I've been coming to Aquila Fitness since 2018 and can't imagine going to another gym. The coaching…read moreis excellent and the workouts push you in a way that leaves you feeling like you accomplished something rather than feeling defeated. The workouts can be scaled to different levels so that you can push yourself when necessary or dial it back if needed to. The culture is very supportive and the workouts are often fun (I have heard it referred to as recess for grown up's). What I like the most about it is that I really just have to show up and not think about what to do. There is a set workout that everyone does for the same class time. For a non gym rat like me that is the golden ticket. The workout is laid out in a very easy to follow format of warmup, stretches, strength, then the main workout (Merton). The workouts vary to keep it interesting and fun plus you get the feeling of that you're in it together with other people. Make no mistake you will work hard and definitely sweat but I promise you that will leave feeling better then when you walked in the door. There is a definite lack of judgement which permeates everywhere. I have had injuries, job changes, and various life events that have kept me from going as often as I would like (or should), but upon coming back to the gym I am always greeted positively rather than scorned. The social aspect of it for me at Aquila is huge, even if it's just saying hi to someone on any given day. Final thought: if you go, definitely take advantage of the coaches' knowledge. I ask them questions often and get their opinions on things all the time. Justin, Travis, and Angie really know their stuff and are happy to share information that might help you out.

I've been going here since June and it's perfect for my busy schedule. I love hot Pilates and yoga…read morebut can never make the time to go to classes at studios. The fact that I can take a class at any time is extremely convenient. You book your class through the app and it does show you if someone else is already booked. Three people can fit into each sauna so you could potentially get the sauna to yourself. I think most people don't book if they see someone is already in a sauna. I've always been by myself which is nice. The place is always super clean. I've never had any sound, light or heat issues with any of the saunas. The small free weight area is always clean and organized. The place isn't always staffed but when it is the workers have always been really friendly. It's $79 a month for me but my membership only allows me to workout at this location. I didn't opt into the other one because this is the most convenient for me. Overall this place has what I need and I'll continue to go here for my workouts!

I'm hugely disappointed in the owners way of doing business. I put my account on hold last year,…read morethen I asked him to cancel my service which he called after I left a voicemail. I was expecting my account to be cancelled as the owner seemed like a good person. Fast forward 10 months I happened to see a charge for the full amount. I looked at my bank statement and he NEVER CANCELLED my account. I called and left him a message and he didn't and wouldn't respond, but had his associate call me which had no idea as to what was going on. Then to make matters worse she stated I can cancel your account. I haven't been working out there since I believe March of last year. Honestly, I was expecting the owner to call me back and I still have yet to get a call back. Be careful if you cancel your service. Make sure to check!

I HIGHLY recommend Crossfit Jet!…read more Kitch was the first contact I had at Crossfit Davis over a year ago. As a woman over age fifty, Crossfit can be a bit intimidating. Kitch taught me to have faith in myself, to set realistic goals, and to do everything safely. Over the last year, I have come SO far in the way I feel about myself, how I look, and what I can now do. Kitch fosters an environment that is welcoming to all--at any age, and at any fitness level. I'm so impressed with Kitch's new facility. Crossfit Jet is an amazing (huge!) new gym. Truly you CAN do this--Kitch will encourage you every step of the way! You WILL be in the best shape of your entire life--if I can say that, anyone can!

The community he built became my family - people I could count on to cheer me on through grueling workouts, push me to start competing in CrossFit competitions, help me out in everyday life (can you think of a better moving crew?). On top of all that, Kitch is an excellent coach. I've never been fitter in my life. He motivates you to work your hardest but is always watchful to prevent injuries. Two thumbs up, and three cheers for Kitch! * (I met Kitch when he was at CrossFit Davis.)

Convenient times. I'm doing a small group personal training with Dan! Also love the cupping offering here, bruh . It's different than others I've tried. Lots of class options, including yoga! I first…read morejoined for the Boot Camp and TRX style classes but found that my 50+ year old body was not responding to that so well, even though I was loving the workouts, so I decided to swap out a workout day for a day of yoga instead. I was intimidated at first. I have some, but not a lot of experience with yoga and the idea of doing it in a heated environment made me nervous. They have 60- and 90-minute classes. I started with the 60 min Yoga Basics class which is not a beginner class necessarily, its challenging for sure, but sticks to the more rudimentary poses and movements. It's a great class for all levels and the heated room was actually very nice. I was concerned I would feel like I was suffocating but that was not at all the case. It felt great and I was totally sweaty by the end of class. It's a damn good workout and everyone is very supportive and friendly. Since I've incorporated yoga 2 days a week into my regular routine and dropped the hard work outs down to only 2 days a week I'm feeling MUCH better. Less injury, more bendy, and continued to increase my strength. Bean and the gym staff are all great at what they do. Heather and rest of the yoga instructors are wonderful as well. I'm loving UFF and the range of options they offer! The only thing that I would warn anyone about is they are not super great at providing instruction in the boot camp and TRX classes. Most of the members are fairly experienced athletes and there's a lot of assumption that everyone knows what they're doing and what weight they should be using. In a class of 20+ people they don't have a lot of time to coach an individual person. I am not shy and will almost always ask for help if I'm not sure, but not everyone feels comfortable doing that. I can definitely say that when I have asked for help, I get wonderful feedback and assistance. If you're new at this type of fitness you can schedule a one-on-one with a trainer to help you sort out a lot of things ahead of time, so you don't hurt yourself during a class. 10/10 highly recommend!
