Needed security last minute. They provided same day service and that officer was so great we decided to use them permanently.

Waring Pro told me to kick rocks, and the next option was $60. So after a lot of research, I heard tell of a place akin to a radio shack, but more Costco than Shack - and a whole lotta radio. Electronics Supply - been around for over 60 years - is just a wonderful place for the tinkerer with electronics repair needs. There's an upstairs and a downstairs, a gaggle of extremely helpful staff, and they even have the curmudgeons of yore - those gentlemen of too much knowledge, and not enough cares - answer any question gladly, but stays in their chair, and hardly look at you while doing it. This place is a rarefied necessity of any advanced municipality with the capacity for ordering online. Honestly, these guys seemingly have anything an everything you can imagine - and they're very helpful to boot, which in this time of online garbage is welcomed necromancy! I bought a thermal fuse; I didn't know what I needed, but they did. They discussed the part in question, haggled over the possibilities, pulled it from the expansive selection in back, and after an entire dollar seventy five, I was out the door! I installed it, and viola! Waffles! I'm just over-the-moon excited about the possibilities! They have myriad tools and components, security systems and computer parts, and if you venture downstairs, you've ventured into the realm of commercial electrical supplies. Among a million other items, there is a full-blown server setup for sale, conduit for days, and any bracket, housing, cable, wire, transistor or capacitor you can manifest from your imagination. It's an electronics supply, but it's more than that. Like the armory or granaries of yore, this is a downright necessity of civilization in the heart of downtown Kansas City. I'll definitely be back for things and stuff. You should too! It's a shame more people aren't able to fix their own stuff anymore, and that number is shrinking. Thanks to the Electronics supplies of the world - a right contrivance of practicality in such the weary world of toss it and buy another.

Rampart Security Systems - We install and service DSC security alarm systems

Buyer and Customer Beware!…read more Recently I noticed my app was not working to arm and disarm my alarm. After calling Rampart, they said "yes currently our services are offline". Then I asked if that meant we would not be covered by monitoring for fire or burglary. They said "yes, that's correct". I was completely flabbergasted. Three large issues for me: - They never notified their clients the monitoring service was offline. My first issue was at 9PM the night before I called. When I called Rampart around 9AM the next day, the guy on the phone said: "Oh yeah it's down, but it hasn't been down that long". To which I replied "yes it has, my home has been unprotected for 12+ hours". - After researching the app communications, I quickly was able to determine the IP address involved was from BOLIVIA. The IP was registered to "Bulgaria Sofiya Residence Control" - Why on planet Earth would I want my home secured through a server in Bolivia which is now down? That IP address was 212.73.143.204. - The monthly service fee they charge is much higher than the service we received. The monitoring service was the cheapest available, likely turning $20-25/mo in profit for adding absolutely zero value. They use a third-party service called "m2mservices" which is hosted on a server in Bolivia. https://m2mservices.com/ The device is the cheapest available and the service, being outside of the US, is most likely also the cheapest possible. After calling back, they had zero problems refunding our entire charge.. which is too bad... we were a customer for over eight years without a miss in payment. Stay away, the company doesn't care if your home is protected, or at least not enough to tell you about it.

Safe Haven Security - My useless Qolsys panel thanks to Safe Haven's lousy service.

(3 if you count PG&E going into my backyard without me knowing!) I asked to get a technician weeks ago and only just found out through ADT that my contract was actually through safe haven after being on hold for literally 2+ hours and having a call go blank twice when trying to get connected to the Fresno location. The only person who reached out to me was a man on vacation via text. From there they had tech support call me instead of a technician coming out. It's cheaper at this point to stay in my contract, but I'll do everything I can to make sure people don't sign up for this like I did. Save your money and get a cheap and more reliable Amazon Ring device! I put one up in the front of my house and it's already more useful than anything Safe Haven has given me. I will say that IF the technicians do come, they're always really friendly and walk you through fixes step by step. To Safe Haven - Pay your guy on vacation more, and get better customer service.

Also, they only warranty products for 6 months, so if their shoddy products break after that, you will also pay to replace the part. I will not be renewing my service after this contract is over, and if I can cancel service, I definitely will.
