I will never use these guys again. I have used them in 2 residences for over 13 years. I PAID…read morefor all the equipment and cameras (not them)....was charged around $50/month.....in the last property i was only there around 2 years (moved) and they had me pay a cancellation fee as they had me sign a 3 year agreement (which i don't understand as they did NOT front me any equipment...I paid for it).....so why a minimum of 3 years....you'd think they would waive the cancellation fee given the 13 year relationship. Further, why 3 year contracts when they don't pay for the equipment...they charge the customer up front.

Buyer and Customer Beware!…read more Recently I noticed my app was not working to arm and disarm my alarm. After calling Rampart, they said "yes currently our services are offline". Then I asked if that meant we would not be covered by monitoring for fire or burglary. They said "yes, that's correct". I was completely flabbergasted. Three large issues for me: - They never notified their clients the monitoring service was offline. My first issue was at 9PM the night before I called. When I called Rampart around 9AM the next day, the guy on the phone said: "Oh yeah it's down, but it hasn't been down that long". To which I replied "yes it has, my home has been unprotected for 12+ hours". - After researching the app communications, I quickly was able to determine the IP address involved was from BOLIVIA. The IP was registered to "Bulgaria Sofiya Residence Control" - Why on planet Earth would I want my home secured through a server in Bolivia which is now down? That IP address was 212.73.143.204. - The monthly service fee they charge is much higher than the service we received. The monitoring service was the cheapest available, likely turning $20-25/mo in profit for adding absolutely zero value. They use a third-party service called "m2mservices" which is hosted on a server in Bolivia. https://m2mservices.com/ The device is the cheapest available and the service, being outside of the US, is most likely also the cheapest possible. After calling back, they had zero problems refunding our entire charge.. which is too bad... we were a customer for over eight years without a miss in payment. Stay away, the company doesn't care if your home is protected, or at least not enough to tell you about it.

I have an Arlo set up for my rental property(I do not recommend Arlo from my experience, but I…read morealready committed), and solar panels were not charging the cameras enough during the cold winter in Kansas City. Had Josh come over to give me an estimate for hardwiring 8 cameras(5 existing, 3 to install and hardwire), and he gave me a reasonable price for that labor. He was very professional, kind, communicative, hard working, knowledgeable, and did a great job on the hardwiring. He always kept me up to date with the progress and discussed any road blocks he came across, always gave me options for alternative solutions, gave me honest recommendations, and made sure I was 100% satisfied with his work. As an out of state investor, he gave me peace of mind to be able to monitor my investment from afar. Will be using him again for future properties and possibly my primary. Highly recommend!
