I walked in and there were a lot of people there already, so I thought I'd have to wait forever or come back another day, but they still accommodated me pretty quickly. The whole process was honestly way faster and smoother than I expected. Vinny did my piece and killed it. I'm really happy with how it came out. What stood out to me too was how many talented artists they have there. Everyone's work looked different in a good way, and they seem to have artists for pretty much every style, so you're bound to find someone that matches exactly what you're looking for. Overall just a really good experience and I would definitely come back.

I found this place just by spotting it in the Lion Plaza. I thought it was an odd place to have a…read moreshop, but I checked it out online. Sonny does great stuff! It seems his expertise is more so in Japanese style. Nonetheless, I called in and was able to get an appointment for the next day. This was my first tattoo and it was not bad at all. I got it on my upper right back/shoulder and while some parts were harder to handle, overall it was a great experience. The healing process was amazing! My tattoo did get itchy a little (to be expected), but it didn't peel much at all! I thought something was wrong but it's a sign of a good tattoo artist. Sonny's rate I think is very good. It says he takes card on Yelp, but he only takes cash. There's no ATM nearby, so BYO cash.

Every time I come here, I am impressed with how immaculately clean it is, how kind the staff is, and how beautiful all my tattoos are! It's so awesome to have a local shop with rotating and stationary artists because you can just choose from all their work! All that variety, under one roof! Each artist has their own spot/work area, and its all adorably decorated with stickers or other items that bring out the personality of the artist. There's even a ramen machine, and when I sat for a 3.5-4 hour tattoo, I got hungry, and my artist prepared me a Shin Ramyun from the machine. It was awesome. The bathroom is also really nice, big and clean with funny decor and a fancy toilet and its, again, always very clean. They have a photo area too where you typically take pics after your piece is completed. Highly recommend checking out their instagram and finding an artist you like. They're always doing flash deals and they even fundraise locally! How awesome is that? And keep an eye out on their socials for visiting artists!

I'm a picky and careful person so it took me about 2 years of decision making to finally pull the trigger. Louise is an amazing artist and walked me through the process. I appreciated the extra effort she put into designing my tattoo and making sure it would be something I like. She took my concept and really made it better. I'm glad I chose to go with her advice when she recommended I go for a cutesy style vs pixel art style for my tattoo. She was right. I do like it a lot better. I was worried I'd have regrets after my first tattoo but I am absolutely in love with it! It brings me joy every time I look at it. Her work is amazing. The lines are so crisp and the shading and colors are well done. Throughout the process, Louise made sure I was comfortable. She did a great job at walking me through aftercare. I tried my best to follow her instructions as closely as possible and I'd say my tattoo healed nicely. Overall, Louise left me with a really positive first experience. She made me realize getting tattoos isn't so scary after all. I'll be back for more once I spend a long long time deciding what I want next. Thanks Louise! :)

Initially I was worried because I wanted to expand on older work I had from another tattoo artist. Long story short - my piece at that time wasn't completely finished and my original artist had gone MIA for my last session. I know some artists are particular about touch other people's work, so I didn't want to settle for just anyone. I had seen Vu's work on instagram and was super impressed by his detailed line work and coloring. Three sessions later (and three trips between SF and San Jose), I had a beautiful, colorful and very detailed tattoo that to this day I have received tons of compliments on how realistic it looks. He was excellent about the placement of his additional work and did some extra line work and coloring on top of my older one. I was so happy I no longer had an unfinished tattoo. I've been recently trying to talk myself out of getting another (this would be my fourth), but if I did I'd hit up Vu in a heartbeat.
