The Personal Banker, K.P., was a delight to work with. She walked us through the process, explaining everything to our satisfaction. She was personable and very professional. The experience was better than expected. We were, also, introduced to the Branch Manager, who welcomed us. Nice touch. Subsequent to opening the account, a concern arose and K.P. handled it immediately over the phone. The issue was resolved without having to go into the branch or talk to some 800 number customer service agent with a heavy thick barely understandable accent. Walking into big national banks like this is what really makes me miss my credit union…read more I came in here for a simple check endorsement made out to both myself and Chase involving my mortgage and insurance company. Knowing that the tellers can't do this, I signed in to see a banker. It took nearly 30 minutes to see one. Now my mortgage company usually allows for a 11-15 grace period on mortgage payments. She saw it as a month overdue (Good to know for the future) and refused to endorse the check without calling their "mortgage department" and had to ask for a supervisor. While I was waiting I promptly paid my mortgage on a mobile device Now I don't hold it against the banker. No sense in her risking her job, and I get it. I also understand that maybe I shouldn't take advantage of the grace period so liberally. What this does tell me however is that there is TOO MUCH RED TAPE in the national banking industry. No one is allowed to use their brain without consulting the master computer system. Endorsing the check was of no harm to Chase and its going directly back into the asset they are financing. Sheer insanity. The one thing I LIKE about my chase mortgage is that I almost never have to see a person face to face. For an endorsement that should take 10-15 minutes max (taking an hour instead), I don't need their "people" Not a chance I would ever open a personal account with these types of places if I can avoid it. Support your local financial institutions.

She charged me 10.00 a check to cash them because I'm only a authorized user on the card. I have my own credit card. It took over 10 mins to get these two checks cashed it was ridiculous. I called the 800 number they are sending me a 20 dollar refund by check in the mail. I asked for the branch manager and apparently he quit last week! ‍They are extremely rude at this branch!!!!!
