We have been trying to pay…read moreoff our loan for over a week now but needed to speak with her first regarding some issues with the loan. I have left 5 messages and had no response. The customer service is unacceptable. I run a business and I would NEVER treat my customers that way. I would never recommend anyone use this location, and at the One Main Financial I have called they are extremely polite and professional.

Can't even refinance into an unsecured loan. Can't take the value of the car off the loan when the car would have been paid off a long time ago. They're willing to give you money but when you need help or something happens, don't bother reaching out to them! Wouldn't recommend going through OneMain even if you're desperate, don't make the same mistake I did. All they will do is put you in debt and when you start struggling or something happens to your car that they now have a lien on, you'll be out of luck too! I have paid them so so so much money over the years and they have literally done nothing for me as a customer. They're useless. I'm aware how loans and credit work, the point is every worker I've dealt with is useless and the East Amherst branch is unwilling to help long term customers, and they just make excuses. It's just not how you treat loyal customers. This may sound like I'm exaggerating but I'm not. The lady I spoke to on the phone could do nothing for me, the manager Logan apparently wanted to speak with me but the lady said never mind and just told me "Sorry" and now I'm on my own with a large amount of negative equity on a car I can't even drive anymore! Also don't email them and expect a response, they will not respond via email, I don't know why it's even listed as an option on their website. I have emailed numerous times over the years when I'm working and cannot call and they never answer. Please proceed with caution if you decide to use them.

Then when I came back with the paperwork, they had changed their minds and denied the loan. They "missed" a huge neon-lit negative (I admit) on their first look, they said. Then they said they'd check and call me to discuss, but instead I got that "Sorry, have a nice day!" form letter. Unreliable company, obviously. Don't ever count on them, even after they say they've got your back!
