It really doesn't get better than this! As the other reviewers have said, Blackhat is a 5 STAR establishment. I was on my way to my folks house & decided to stop by as I had been meaning to do so for awhile. I love that this store is located in Murray Hill and so close to my home. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted immediately by members of their staff who showed me many, many options--NEVER pushy, were super knowledgeable and extremely patient with me. And when I say patient, I mean unflappable and accommodating to my needs. Having worked in retail for over 20 years, I have to commend this crew for knowing how to treat their existing and potential customers. I have not felt as comfortable and willing to buy in a retail store as with the experience I had today. Respectful, polite, well mannered, well spoken, mannerly, gracious, obliging, considerate, pleasant, cordial and civilized--that is the type of workers they have in this store. I started out with a nice male sales person, then ultimately Mia stepped in and worked with me after she helped me decide on the best E-Cig offered based on my needs. I decided to purchase a set that (altogether with case, chargers, flavors, refills and all I needed) cost just under $60 including tax! In addition, everyone in the entire store (including customers) seemed genuinely happy to help you. This is a fun store to visit and with such a great first experience, I know I will be back to get more "juice." I was in the area and I decided to stop in and check the place out. The gentleman and woman behind the counter were very responsive and helpful. My Husband smokes, but I do not. I was looking for a new flavor. The lady recommended a blueberry flavor, so that is what I got. I was not aware of this location. My Husband and I usually go to the Mayport location. I love the way the store is set up. Very nice. Now, I know if we are on the other side of the river, we can come here instead. read more

I have been shopping at blackhat for many years and I still go here for my goats milk liquid because it's my favorite so no matter what type of vape pen I use I am die hard with my liquid!! The customer service is always pleasant & prices r so cheap! Not only that but anytime u break something or need something, they have given me free chargers to trade out for one that stopped working early.. I use to break my glass on vape pen yet they fixed me right up and their customer service is so fast that I know I will get in and out with 5 minutes so I don't dread going here like other places. I have been checking out their website and reviews for about a week now. Today, I finally came in to make a purchase. I am new to vaping, so I went basic. I did get a GhoStick ($24.95) which is a step up in price from their house pen. My reason was because the GhoStick was a little lighter and more compact. It really is a no fuss pen and I like that I can swap the cartridges out and not fumble with any other pieces. Not that the basic BlackHat was difficult or anything like that, I actually kind of liked it as well. This set up seems a bit more my speed really, but time will tell. I like that the sales guy took time to compare the two models I had in mind. Really, it came down to what I liked because he said they were very simple designs and low priced. They also are able to allow you to sample their juices, but there is a small fee involved. Which is cool, because hey- I totally want to know if I am gonna like something before I am stuck with it all week. However, my mind isn't too keen on the idea when it comes to vapes. I mean, I dunno... maybe they legit have a great way of sampling... I didn't even want to know. My mind goes to the mouthpieces you use when sharing a hookah. I read over all their house flavors which all sound amazing and right up my alley. I enjoy the cute references they use for a lot of them. I actually have a list of ones I am looking forward to trying. I already knew I was getting the Flavor of the Week.... Milk + Cake. Sounds amazing in the description, tastes totally great in person. It is very mild. I will be honest, 50% off is a great way to ease into the whole scene. I won't feel bad for the $ I spend if I end up not continuing into the vape scene. I even went up a step for the 30mL so I had enough on hand. I will more than likely stop in to grab the weekly special because I like to save money. Not that it is very expensive. Just that if the special is something I want, I can get a larger size for the same price as the smaller one. Plus they have a rewards program, though I didn't ask a whole lot on how that works. I wasn't sure what to expect when I went in here, I certainly wasn't expecting a haze. It was a little disconcerting at first because it was basically all the flavors mixed together. It was kind of nice once I got accustomed to it. We were served promptly by not one but two different employees. They didn't have the coils we needed, which we ended up having to go elsewhere to get them. My girl tried out a couple flavors and decided what she liked and they rang her on a little ipad and we were out the door. Painless shopping experience. As for the shop itself there was a small bar with stool for people to just chill and vape, and there were a few people doing just that, and they looked pretty happy with their experience. EDIT: Three days after our experience here, me and my girl came down with vicious colds. I don't think the little plastic thing they give you to over the mouthpiece works that well. Since I don't know that for sure, I'll leave my star rating as it is, but if you are planning on sampling maybe you better bring your own stuff. read more

Super impressed. My boyfriend and I are on vacation in Florida and we were looking for a really good vape shop. Couldn't find any good ones while we were still in St Augustine and decided to try a few in Jacksonville on the way home. This is the one. The house juice flavors are amazing. Usually I am unimpressed by house juices but theirs taste like premium liquid. Black Granite was my favorite. It's really unique. The girl who helped us was awesome. And the shop is really cool physically too. They have so much different juice and I was really impressed with the selection. There really is something for everyone. Not too many dessert flavors which I was happy about. Which also means that the store doesn't smell like rotten birthday cake! Another awesome thing is their testers. They do have the cheap pen-type tanks for testing but they also have regular tanks that fit on a mod. Flavors never taste the same in crappy Aspire tanks as they do when you get home so I was really happy to see they had two different forms of testers. This may not be a big deal to some but it is to me :) Oh and they have their house juice online. My boyfriend and I each got a 30ml of Black Granite and as soon as we put it in our tanks we were already sad about running out of it eventually because we live in Georgia. Hard for me to give a good review when the company posted a 3rd gen wismec for sale for 30$ yet when i make the drive out to the store find more expensive mods with less capability and no wismec 3rds in stock. no offer to order at the advertised price no nothing. just the statement that "oh we need to change that on our website" the last thing a company should be out of is their teaser. it will put off a potential life customer from ever going back. i've been vaping for 5yrs long before the vaping wave of fly by nighters. i'm new to jacksonville and will not be new to blackhat vapors. i don't want to waste my gas money again. read more

I saw the Kingpin site over the internet and decided to try it out. And I am glad I did! I tried different brands, e-liquids, technology and here I am still with Kingpin cigs for over 2 years now. Their ECIG products and e-liquid are well made and inspected compared to other internet sites. They constantly come up with new technologies and e-liquids that would make your vaporing a wonderful experience. I recommended Kingpin to co-workers, friends and family. Awesome shop with great people. Rolled into Jax from out of town and promptly lost my vape, and had no backup. Found Blackhat on the web and stopped by their shop and they had me fixed up in no time with a new Kangertech EVOD starter kit for about half of what my previous rig had cost me online. Kit worked great and when my wife saw it in action I went back into the store and got her the same system and we both love it. Employees are knowledgeable and friendly and their prices are hard to beat. I'll be ordering all my hardware online from them from now on, just wish I lived here so I could stop by in person. Rude on phone, don't care about customer, refuse to stand behind shipping, 12 days since order and still hasn't shown up. Called this morning and was told not their problem. Shouldn't sell for shipping if they can't get it right, bought 10 replacement coils, 5 didn't work and was told too bad, ordered wrong tanks and was told to buy adapters and would not accept return. You HAVE to read this! I was in Jacksonville visiting. I had a problem with my current Vape. I was referred to Black Hat by a local smoke shop in Jacksonville. They were very knowledgeable, experienced, patient and friendly. They repaired my device and I was on your way. Some of our friends were interested in a Vape device and we went back a couple of days later and purchased two complete devices from one of their employees named Tyler. I traveled back to Vegas and a week later I started having issues with my Kbox Mini. After calling and discussing the issue Andrew he asked if I would be willing to ship the Kbox back; I replied yes. He said he would take care of the problem and compensate me for the trouble. I mentioned that that wasn't necessary but...... he DID and! Black Hat Vapor Shop went above and beyond for their customer. The team at Black Hat are AMAZING! Andrew went out of his way to ensure I as a customer was satisfied. I can't say enough about the kindness and experience I had. They could have easily sent me on my way or even told me to go to the manufacturer, but they didn't. I sent the device to them, they called when it arrived within that same day shipped a NEW replacement with extras! I only WISH I could find that kind of customer service here in Las Vegas. Black Hat initially charmed me with their knowledgable staff, low prices, and unique flavors. Theres one thing I cant compromise on though and that's the human factor. No appreciation for loyalty. Which to me means, no honor, no integrity. Combined with a strict nazi-like adherence to protocols means that if for any reason you have to rely on them to do anything outside of the regular customer/employee relationship than expect about as much warm fuzzies as a sterile robot. Basically long story short I bought my first vape from them and proceeded to be a loyal customer buying juice, tanks, coils etc all from them and always left a few bucks in the tip jar. I had moved from Riverside to Murray Hill and had gladly left behind New Leaf as my neighborhood vapor store. I purchased the ego ONE from them as my first vape and was very satisfied with it. The employee told me that the receipt was good for a 2week store warranty, and the warranty card inside the box would be good for a 90 day Joytech warranty. What he didnt tell me was that I would still need the receipt for my Joytech warranty. So when I moved to Murray Hill 2weeks after I bought my vape I didnt take extra care to keep my receipt in a safe space thinking that now It would be expired and I would only need my warranty card. Well as it turns out you need the receipt to use the warranty card ( I guess this is commmon knowledge but I've never redeemed a warranty before this) and I had lost mine in the move to Murray Hill. Now when I returned to blackhat I was certain they would just print me a new receipt. New Leaf keeps a log of everything you buy and can print you a receipt for any product you have ever bought from them. The people at BlackHat refused to even fake-ring a new item to give me a receipt so I could retrieve my warranty. Now I understand they aren't required to do this, but I would do it. I would do it even if it got me in trouble, and I would explain the situation to the employer. A loyal customer who spends ~50 bucks a week is worth having to correct a discrepancy in the sales report. They told me "That's a bummer man" and offered to sell me another product by the same company who's product had stopped working for me after 3 weeks. I don't have a lot going for me in my life and am constantly on the brink of losing control of my temper. It has taken years of willful discipline for me to not lash out in tantrums when shit like this happens to me and I kept my cool and walked out of the building but on the inside I was boiling like a pressure cooker at 1500PSI. And it feels shitty you know? To think that you've developed a rapport with the employees, to think you can trust them. To actually have been duped into thinking that they are caring empathetic people, but when it comes down to it and the shit hits the fan they aren't willing to do a thing to make my life better. All they had to do was print me a damn receipt. This has brought me a lot of grief. My vape is one of the few things that i actually enjoy in this pathetic excuse of an existence called life, and now im just screwed. No money to buy a new one, I have to sit 4 feet from a wall outlet to use the damn thing. I just feel more depressed than ever after trying unsuccessfully to appeal tot he humanity in these people. Reading online, apparently there are innumerable cases of people with the ego ONE where it stops holding charge after a week, so I guess I was lucky to make it to 3 weeks. read more
