When I went to pick up a order I was bothering them, trying to give them money, and they went against their written policy about loyaltly cards, treating me as though I couldn't read and my money wasn't hard earned. I didn't tear the plastic off of the album as it was a Christmas present. Imagine my son's and my disappointment when he opened the plastic and we discovered we didn't get what I ordered. The album was the correct album but the album was not the exclusive color I ordered. The company is refusing to give a full refund because they have a thirty day policy on returns. It's was pretty apparent to me, based on emails between my son and the company, the company doesn't care about great customer service or the fact that this was their mistake.

The shop has sleek, inviting signage in its window (I couldn't stop looking at the mannequin with a CRT TV for a body!). We walked in excited to see what the store has in store, and would you believe it, the *cutest* corgi came running up to greet us! If anything, stop in to meet Clarissa the Corgi. The shop is spacious, orderly, and not crammed with records. There is a nice selection of both old and new records, and at reasonable prices. I gravitated towards the older records and left the store with two for a total of $20. The owner was very friendly and welcoming and told us that she regularly updates the inventory. Parking can be a little tricky, but we discovered a lot behind the store and were able to find a spot. If you happen to be in the area, and you love records (and corgis), be sure to check out this store!

All my "friends" have moved away, I hate my job and stupid LeTraitor is back. Never been more tempted to pack it up and leave in my life. As a lifelong resident of northeast Ohio, I've had my fill. Everything cool from my 20's is gone. Good college radio, the Ghoul, and oh yeah, the Quonset Huts in Parma and Akron. But there survives a shred of that former coolness. And it sits unassumingly on Cleveland road in Canton. Dog and I set out down the highway in search of adventure. Ended up in Alliance/Mount Union. Uhhhhh, not great. But I remembered that the last standing Quonset(maybe the original, not sure) was nearby. I went to the Parma spot ALOT. It had everything. Records, incense, posters, clothes, curios and yeah pipes. It always felt like a California hippie refuge from the gruesome rust coated hell of Cleveland for me. Sure, there were other headshops. But they all seemed fake. This one had such an authentic west coast 60's vibe to it. Needless to say, when it closed I was pretty bummed man. I was happiest in life in my early 20's. No bills, friends all around, adventures to be had. In my mid to late 30's I see nothing but boredom and isolation. Being in a space that even remotely recaptured that magical time was heartwarming. I felt 20 again. Even without my patented long hair. I snatched up loads of incense, an eastern trinket, and a last minute purchase, a Q hut sticker. Didn't go downstairs to browse the pipes as I don't partake. Weird, huh? It struck me funny how half the country is legalizing pot, but in Ohio you have to be 18 to look at glass. We've always been five steps behind the rest of the universe. Hence my desire to pack up and leave. Whatever. It was a sight for sore eyes. The records are gone, but that's ok. Though I did buy some of my most killer vinyl at the old shops. It was a little piece of Haight Ashbury that renewed my old carefree self. Thank you Quonset employees and owner for keeping that amazing 60's spirit alive some 50 years after the fact. I love you.

When I was finally able to go for a visit, I thought it was cool shop, with a nice little selection of Pops. But then they told me to go to the back room, and I was b l o w n away! Two and a half walls FILLED top to bottom with Pops. I had never seen such a huge selection. I actually bought so much at SGE that they effectively killed a first time visit I'd planned to a another toy shop nearby. They also have super-friendly staff here that made me feel like I was an old friend, even though it was my first time here. So many cool old knick-knacks with a seriously retro/analog vibe. Think Back to the Future, etc. Old video games, cards, toys, action figures, and collectibles. The old and the new. Star Wars, Star Trek, Game of Thrones, Pokemon, Magic The Gathering, Harry Potter, Lego, Nintendo. This is certainly not an exhaustive list. Prices definitely vary. There are signed copies of books and cards that are several hundred, even thousands, of dollars. Then there are newer items alongside collectibles that start at a couple bucks. Lots of gift-like items or stocking stuffers. Anybody who has ever liked anything remotely nerdy in the last 40 years will be bound to find something here. Therefore, you're certain to find a good gift for about anybody here. The shopkeeper was also really cool and friendly in spite of the shop being basically over run with people. This is no doubt a money-making shop in a liberal arts college town.
