Fun store! Large selection of old and new collectibles. It's a little crowded, but lots to look at.

I found an absolutely gorgeous set of His Dark Materials from 2008. Just stunning books. Great…read moreprice on them too. This place is really great if you're looking for "their type"...which seemed to be Christian definitely, nationalist maybe...so if you're into that you'll love it. There WERE sections for diverse topics-they were just either empty or nearly so. Maybe a bunch of witchy liberal first peoples recently came through and they haven't recovered? There were whole aisles devoted to Christian books. All in all, not diverse but they do have nice books if you are looking for what they carry.

Love that there is a hole-in-the-wall style book store in little ol' Wooster. It's just one of many…read moreshops that really "make" this little town. This shop has two floors packed to the brim with about any kind of book imaginable. An entire children's section, foreign language books, old collectors books, and more. If you wanted to put together a bookshelf full of classics that actually look like classics in worn, brown leather binding you could definitely get your start here. There is every section you expect from a book store. An extensive collection of fiction starting at the front of the store, with classics and nonfiction in the back and upstairs. The children's section is also upstairs. There are a few places where you can sit and read. This being a primarily used book store, you can sell and trade too. Highest dollar is given for nonfiction, with hardbacks being at the top of that list. You can sell your books outright with no obligation to use the money as credit only. However, like with most trade-in places, you will typically get more value if you apply it in credit than if you take it in cash. Absolutely worth a visit, even if you're just looking to browse the day away in town.

So if I was all about records, this would be the spot for me. Blackbird was opened recently as a…read moresort of natural extension of the Operation: Fandom store just next door. For them it was a no-brainer when the original Lucky Records was going out of business. Over there it's nerdy stuff and toys, here you can channel that Clockwork Orange vibe I suppose. The store sign has a cool retro feel to it. The window is filled with random cardboard cutouts and pillows. Maybe as they gain their footing there will be more rhyme and reason to the window display. When I went inside, I immediately took notice of a few Walkman portable cassette players in a display case. Gave me kind of a smile and a moment to think "Wow, what a time to be alive!" I'm not that old and I did use one of those as a kid. They're not QUITE collector's items yet I don't think... That aside, there is also a blackboard just inside the door with release dates and albums listed. It includes artists both from the past and present. Wall to wall is lined with vinyl below eye-level and paintings and pictures at eye level. There are even 7 inch vinyls and a $1 bargain rack that you could peruse for hours. There's a sizeable shelf-load of CDs in the back, a cool leather sofa and branded memorabilia including mugs and shirts a-la-Blackbird. There were at least five other people browsing the selection intently when I cruised through. It not really being my thing, I was in and out quickly. However, I can still highly recommend the place if you're looking for a record in town or just looking to burn some time in a place that fits your fancy.
