I had been dying to get a tattoo by an artist Amy Zager in San Francisco, but I live in CO so you know logistics. When Amy announced she was coming to CO for a few weeks and guesting at blackbird I had to jump on the opportunity. Amy was amazing and gave me the best tattoo. The shop was very nice, clean and cute with a nice friendly fun atmosphere and I love that it's women run. I live pretty far away but I would recommend them and/or would go there again in a heartbeat. All the ladies I met that day seemed wonderful. read more

Awesome experience, met with Destiny who was super sweet, informative and very artistic. Explained what my daughter and I were looking for and she drew a beautiful interpretation of what I wanted. After going over the paperwork and waiting for her to sanitize her station( very thorough). I hopped in the chair and Destiny started right away. Perfect placement of the stencil, the colors she added, and just the overall experience was wonderful. The atmosphere of the shop was very welcoming, wonderfully decorated and well maintained. I emailed Blackbird Ink to see if my cousin and I could get in for tattoos. The response time was pretty impressive and we were linked with Mick. He had our ideal time available and I emailed back and forth with him about our requested ink. He was very well prepared and is an expert, having been in the field for decades. We arrived into town on a Thursday and headed almost immediately to the shop. The environment is awesome, with lots to look at while you try to distract yourself from the pain. He worked unbothered through all of my profanity. No pain, no gain, right?!? I was so impressed with the work he did, providing so much detail to my little birds. At the end he provided detailed instructions for recovery, both verbally and written. The healing time was incredibly impressive, and I attribute this to his instructions. Picture attached is ten days post tattoo. Very reasonably priced and professional. I woll definitely be back here for more ink when I'm back in town! read more

I wanted my existing tattoo touched up and I also wanted to get a new small one. I called and Kristy booked me for two hours later! I was totally expecting to have to wait a few days to come in. The shop was really clean, bright, and decorated really cool. Kristy drew a really cool design for me, she drew it really quickly and it was beautiful. She tattooed that design really quickly and then she made my existing tattoo look sooo much better. She made me feel really comfortable with her abilities and she was just really talkative and fun to chat with. I'd totally recommend Kristy to all my friends! I was hoping to book an appointment here, but thought I would drive by and take a peek. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I've been a manicurist for 30 years. When you have a service business, you should expect people who walk by to be able to walk in or at least be acknowledged. I drove there, parked my car in front, there were 4 people inside, they watched me walk up, try the locked door, and just sat there looking at me like I'm an idiot! No sorry, we're closed, no go online, no NOTHIN'! Just sat there and looked at me like 4 Stepford wives! Too bad for them for being so rude! I'll take my money, and trust elsewhere!
