Coffee is like duct tape. It fixes everything. What's not to love at Black Rock? This Black Rock is pretty much like all the rest. You can get yourself a nice cuppa joe and have yourself a nice sit on a cozy sofa. If you need to get work done, there are a lot of tables and power outlets available. On this particular visit, a location quite a ways from home, I was meeting up with an old co-worker, her boyfriend, and her majestic citrus cat that walks on a leash. Us gals got the dragonfruit green tea refresher, and we enjoyed it. The staff had spied her adorable cat, Casper, and offered her a pup cup. It was Casper's first pup cup ever, and he loved it. I melted just watching that sweet cat. The staff is friendly, and they have a convenient drive-thru. Two thumbs up! The bathroom code is 3515 for those who are wondering. read more

Black Rock Coffee Bar - Fuel your story. - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Laveen, Arizona

I always like coming to black rock compared to other chain cafe shops. I love the coffee and service most of the time. Today I came to get a coffee and do some work. Everyone in the shop got kicked out, the young blonde lady said they close the lobby at 6pm and the window at 9pm. If that is true, they need to put that on their website and google. It was kind of disappointing, I've never seen a black rock do that. I might have to switch it up to another coffee shop. read more

My friend recommended this place; my husband and I went, it is such a cute place The jive is great, ambience very cool & The cashier that waited on us, Gabriella. She was amazing & sweet! My husband just got a drip coffee. I got my friend, a hot Irish coffee with oat milk and she recommended an iced caramel Blondie with light ice, it was amazing!! Definitely will return when coming back! read more

Black Rock Coffee Bar - As you walk in... - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Laveen, Arizona

Stopped several times and all great experiences so far. Staff is great, friendly and attentive-smiles on their faces. The location has a two lane drive-thru and merges to one. On occasion staff is outside taking orders as well. The line moves pretty quickly, this morning 8am I ordered, got to the window and my drink was ready and bagel to follow. They have cute interior decor and offer indoor and outdoor seating. My go-to drink has to be the Mexican mocha and the jalapeño cheddar bagel with cream cheese! read more

I come here frequently & a lot of times the drive thru moves so slow. Starbucks pushes out drinks way faster. It shouldn't take that long to make drinks. read more

Aside from a vibes interior, this place does not have much going for it. My "coffee" tasted like milk, there were so many fruit flies/bugs, and the service was nothing to write home about. I really wanted to like this place, and I might give it a second chance, but I now understand why the rating it has is what it is.. read more

Black Rock Coffee Bar - a hand holding a cup of coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Laveen, Arizona

Black Rock Coffee is great! Awesome flavor, fresh roast, and kind staff. Highly recommend.

Drive-thru service is great and quick as it should. Coffee is great and my family is a huge fan of the variety they offer from teas, refreshers, and coffee. Inside the building offers space to work on a computer or simply catching up with another. However, when I came to study in the morning, there was a lingering odor of what seemed to be old trash or milk?**Didn't even smell like coffee as most coffee bars would which says a lot. Also, either gnats or fruits flies filled the space. They were flying in my face and crawling on the table and even my belongings. These followed to the outside patio as well when I decided to move around which was no help and even at the register they were there too when I made an order. Not sure if this has been mentioned before but hoping this has not gone unnoticed since the last time I visited. Hoping to return only if this has been resolved. read more

I originally visited Black Rock during a Saturday early March. Establishment was busy and drinks were a bit behind schedule. Understandable, staff was nice enough to make that known. When we finally got our drinks they were in all honesty one of the worst coffees I ever had. Like James Harden in the playoffs, a let down after all the hype. I thought today, I'd give it a second chance. Black Rock released newer drinks and my wife convinced me to give it a try. We ordered three drinks off the new menu and well, 1/3. If this was baseball and those were at-bats, you'd say thats very good. But not in this case. Two drinks (matcha and Honey Haze Shaken Espresso) were almost water and milk. They tasted atrocious. The third (Caramel Blondie) was the only decent tasting one. Left me very unimpressed to say the least and I likely will never return. read more

The staff has been so pleasant from the beginning. The coffee taste is great and smooth. The service is getting a bit quicker as well. Their pastries are also very good. I love having this location! read more

This location is filthy and the landscaping is unkept. When waiting in long lines at drive thru, nothing to see but weeds.

Honestly, one star feels generous. The matcha tastes like grass clippings in dirty water, and the "coffee" is just milk pretending to be coffee. The drive-thru is a circus--long waits, a two-lane merge that no one knows how to use, and employees who actually add to the chaos by giving out bad directions. Impressive, really, to be this consistently terrible. I wouldn't come back here if they paid me. read more

I love black rock I love to hang out in the cafe and do my work. I swear this location can't leave the music alone. It is typically BLASTED and going from loud to quiet and changing the songs halfway through. It's distracting lol. I've experienced this twice.. read more

Don't know why there aren't more stars! Baristas were super nice, parking was easy (much faster than the drive through). Very accommodating when I shared my drink preferences for sweetness as well. Fairly new location and I had no issues! read more

Kids who work here are snobby. Not courteous or friendly. Had questions on some drinks they couldn't answer my questions on what was in certain ones. Now I see why their lobby was empty. Last time I was here they had diffsnobby staff. Drinks overpriced, ordered the same drink like my last visit and why does it taste different? Wasted 8$, don't recommend. read more

I can't even believe what I received when Uber eats came. I ordered a hot matcha. Instead of putting that they are out of stock of lids or something, they put a paper cup inside of a plastic cup, matcha mixed on the bottom of it in a slush of melted paper and hot matcha. This is absolutely ridiculous. Never ordering or coming here again. read more

The energy drinks were delicious it tasted like Dutch bros I would definitely get those again. And the coffee was too sweet. It tasted like milk and creamer with a hint of coffee. I'm not sure if an iced caramel blondie is supposed to taste like straight creamer but it wasn't good. read more

I loveee black rock but this location needs to improve on their cleanliness. The inside of the coffee bar is filled with small flying insects, it makes it difficult to have a conversation if you decide to chill in their seating area. To make things worse, I found an insect inside my drink and I had to return to have them remake it. I will say the woman at the register was nice enough to remake my drink quickly so I do appreciate that, but they do need to do a better job at cleaning the bar area and the seating areas as well. read more

Not a huge coffee drinker but I crave black rock! I also LOVE their matcha latte with honey and lavender (with oat milk) Everyone is always so nice. The service is a little slow and the music is a bit too loud so it makes it a hard atmosphere to work but the people and drinks make it worth the visit! read more

I like how the inside is decorated and it is clean. My drink was really good and the service was friendly. I also like how they have gluten free options in their bakery case. The lighting at nighttime looks really cool. Plenty of parking. A great addition for a coffee shop in town! read more

Was visiting phoenix and so happy to have one of these locations close by. The service was quick and friendly . When we paid they offered us a sample of their frozen fuel which was good. The way their drive thru works is two lanes merge into one. Can't wait to come back to try their other drinks. I ordered an iced caramel blonde which is usually my go-to. read more

If I could give a zero, I would. I ordered drinks twice in a week. Both had dead bugs floating in them. First one I thought it was a mistake but 2nd one in the span of a few days is not okay. My friend also had a dead bug in her drink as well. Inside I have noticed many gnats and flys, hope they remedy this soon. read more

Coffee is okay, customer service could use some work. Wasn't greeted and the interaction was awkward as I had to be the one to start the ordering process. I think the young lady actually hates her job as she did not seem like she wanted to be there or I was an inconvenience somehow. Last thing: BRING A SWEATER, I swear they keep this place so chilly on purpose so everyone will leave bc it's so cold. read more

Honestly my fave coffee I love the caramel blondie and their energy drinks are great.

I have been to numerous Black Rock store location throughout the valley and this one by far is the worst. Dirty store and zero customer service from the Black Rock staff. With the average drink upwards of 5$ this coffee shop needs to do better with training their staff. read more

Coffee was HOT AS FCK. They over filled my coffee this morning and it spilled all over my hand and also all over my car. Not letting it ruin my day but for real - if you have to go there it is fast but tell them to not overfill it and not make it scalding hot. 10 mins later still burned my mouth with 2 ice cubes in it. Oh yea got a drop on my pants no big deal but could have been. read more

I love black rock! It's my favorite coffee shop and never disappoints until I went to this location. The baristas weren't super friendly, but no big deal maybe they just weren't super talkative today. As we were pulling out we noticed that we didn't get straws so we parked and grabbed straws and left, but after we were on the road I noticed my ham and Swiss croissant was not warmed up at all so I turned around, went inside and asked if they could warm it up (I'm a little annoyed at this point) and the lady who took the croissant didn't apologize or anything. I know small stuff like this happens every once in awhile, but it would have been nice for someone to just apologize. Especially when I'm used to black rock going above and beyond. Thankfully we were only out here for a morning event so I won't be at this location again. read more

Always good service, clean place, yummy drinks. They gave me points to a free drink for points. Always my go to coffee break!

This store never has chiller drinks after 2:00. Guess I have to start going back to Starbucks after work.

Ordered a medium hot blackout, Pricey and the cup was given to me half liquid, half foam. Not worth it.

Lots of coffee places around. And we know which one is the giant. But Blackrock Coffee Bar has a nice selection and it's quiet. The few times I've been in, the young staff has been very friendly and attentive. I love their sugar-free hibiscus tea. read more

Used to drive all the way to Dutch bros... black rock is waaaaaay better!! Cheaper and tastier!

Customer service is great. The only issue is the nitro cold brew. It's too strong and needs to be diluted a bit.

I like their Mexican mocha, though it could be hotter because it seems to cool pretty fast. The baristas were cool and suggested the drink. I go to the cafe to study due to the decent lighting and the quiet atmosphere (apart from the music!) I don't buy that much since prices are so high, but just a tad over Starbucks' prices. Not sure why a black coffee is over three dollars, but what can we do? The economy sucks right now. read more
