The portions are generous, and everything comes out fresh and hot, which I really appreciate. The ambience is warm and welcoming, making it a nice place to sit down and enjoy your meal. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they make good recommendations if you're unsure what to order. Service can be a little slow during busy hours, but that's usually a sign that everything is being made with care. Prices are fair for the quality and portion size, and the menu offers a great variety of dishes to choose from, plenty of options whether you like mild, spicy, or somewhere in between. Overall, Clay Oven is definitely worth a visit if you're craving flavorful, well-made Indian cuisine. A great experience every time, and an easy 4 stars!

The flavors are always on point, their garlic naan is amazing and I haven't ordered anything I didn't like. I recently tried the chicken biryani (usually get chana masala) and it's going to be my go-to order from now on. Even my husband liked it and he doesn't usually enjoy Indian food. They also moved to a bigger spot, so it's much less crowded and also has better lighting. Highly highly recommend!

The aunty there was very nice and provided us info on the dishes. We enjoyed our delicious homemade butter chicken with chapatis. I was also given a cup of chai tea and a couple samples while I waited for my food.

We tried their chhole bhature, amritsari kulcha, aloo parantha and hakka noodles. Hakka noodles definitely weren't hakka rather some masala noodles and their mild wasn't even mild. 0/10. Chhole bhature - enjoyed the extras (onions, pickle and raita) more than chhole bhature. This is more of chana curry and puri 3/10 Amritsari kulcha - my first time trying this. Side of chana curry is same as with Chhole bhature. Liked the crispness of kulcha. Will give one more try before I decide a yay or nay for this. Aloo Parantha - what its supposed to be, the only item the way it should be in our order. Soft, flavorful and filling. 9/10 I had much higher expectations from this place. Would like to try a few other items from their street food menu to check how their appetizers are.

We walked into the restaurant which is to the side and a bright and open space. There aren't a ton of tables so it looks more like a spot for a quick bite or quick food while or after shopping. The menu is extensive and much of it was unknown to us. However the server graciously gave us suggestions and then would show us photos on her phone so we could imagine the dish. The prices are very reasonable for what you get, and we orders two appetizers and two Main Street food options and had plenty for three with leftovers! The appetizer was very tasty with paneer and spinach baked into a flavorful dough. The special burger my husband devoured and even said he would get it again for sure! They do not have chicken or meat on the menu but are all vegetarian, but you don't miss the meat at all! For us who eat mostly veggie or plant bars it was delightful to be able to order anything and know it was primarily made in house veggie based! Our dishes had five curries to try which we loved, but do note there is no spice option. They come as they come, so for those not enjoying much spice make sure to ask which options are milder. Ours came with yogurts and dips which cooled things down considerably, plus they have lassis which are great for cooling the tongue. We are already planning to go back and loved it! A very different fee than other spots and a more street food feel from the Panjab. Delicious!

This place feels warm and welcoming upon entrance. They have ample seating and separate space for parties/larger group. (Ample private parking space btw) We were greeted and seated right away. With a hangry kid with us we requested to get mango lassi right away. But in handle full of minutes remaining order was placed too - Chole Bhature, Aloo Tikki Chat, Butter Naan and Malai Kofta. And then the long wait started. We got our lassi after about 10-12 minutes wait and CB and ATC in about another 25-30 minutes. So far after trying multiple restaurants in multiple cities, 5 star has better Chole taste than others. Bhature was average, we have had better Bhature. Aloo tikki chat tasted better once the hot tikki cooled down a little. Lassi had perfect sweetness but bit watered down than a bit of chunky consistency of lassi. The hostess did check on us in between and apologized about wait due to busy hour. We had easily waited good 30 minutes after finishing our appetizers. But! Finally the food arrived. And it was delicious for sure. Perfectly cooked naan, savory but little sweet kofta entree. The only thing lacking was we had ordered mild spice level but this was definitely a medium. Informed our hostess of this to get a response of well the Indian spices can be spruced down only so much. Agreed but not agreed! Women restroom was clean but out of paper towels, (no air dryer) stayed so till I was there. All in all, great food but too long and gaped of a wait for each item to arrive, okay-ish service. I am willing to give this place one more try and hopefully on a less busier hour before I set my review in stone for this restaurant.
