Update: I went back March 6, 2020, again spur of the moment and was able to get my Disney key done. Halil did an amazing job and the price was good.

The lion took almost 3 hours... Halil is so meticulous with his details! Amazing!

If I could give this place 100 stars, I absolutely would. Jen has done about 90% of my tattoos, and her patience, kindness, understanding, and willingness to work with me make the hour drive completely worth it every time. The overall vibe of the shop is incredibly welcoming they're not blasting screamo music or making you feel uncomfortable if you only have a few small tattoos. Whenever people ask me where I get my tattoos, I always tell them Black Magic. I've even recommended the shop to several family members, and I wouldn't hesitate to keep doing so. read more

Went back yesterday to meet with Phil again. My friend and I had decided we would get matching tattoos of Bluey (hers) and Mittens (mine). She was trying to get me to go to her artist, but I'm loyal to Phil. I already knew of Phil's IG page so I messaged him again. I sent a few pix, he quoted and we set a date. He's awesome because I had to change my date/time and he was accommodating. He's really easy to work with. He keeps me laughing each time and tolerates my A.D.D. like a champ. I'm obviously very happy with his service otherwise I wouldn't have repeated my business with him. Mittens came out exactly how I wanted. I've been recommending him and will continue to do so. read more

Our new tattoo spot! Mike TV is very skilled, professional, efficient and friendly. The prices are also reasonable. He got us in fairly quick and was diligent in creating the design of our tattoos. I wanted color in mine and his knowledge and experience helped me decide on the perfect combo. The shop is clean. My favorite part is probably how quick (but great) of a job he did. Tattoos aren't a pleasant feeling for most and I was pleased with how fast he got mine done. Our tattoos are healing awesome and he guarantees his work so if there are any spots that don't heal properly, he'll touch them up which is awesome. I highly recommend him! read more

This place is A++++. Mike, the owner, is personable and attentive. He even gave me a charger and block because my phone died! My artist was Halil and he was Amazing. This review should have been posted many many moons ago, for the wonderful Bob Simms, who was the artist and creator of my back piece, sadly passed away a few years ago and was unable to complete his work. He will be forever missed, and I am honored to have 22 hours of his artwork permanently etched into my skin. Still, I have a slight problem, unfinished work!! I have searched high and low for someone to complete his work.. Among numerous denials because so and so artist wouldn't "be able to take credit" or "I'm going to charge you $200 and hour" or just plain ol' crap portfolios I've come across have led back here. Eager to see what had changed, and to retrieve a new nose stud since mine was lost along the way somewhere, I found myself back at square 1. To my surprise, Bob's old girlfriend still works here.. Karyn. Let me tell you, this bitch is amazing. Not only is she full of immeasurable talent, but she is just so f-ing cool you cant help but love her. She remembered me immediately and we began to talk tattoos, and suddenly my dreams came true, she agreed to finish his work. She noted she has finished a lot of his pieces, which I find to be extremely strong of her. It has to be tough... I killed 2 birds with one stone on my random stop in.. acquired a new stud and a new artist.. my first appointment with Karyn is in a few short weeks and I am so excited that after all my searching, the person who was closest to him is going to complete my art. Not to mention she is amazing. I highly recommend Lucky Draw to anyone seeking quality work at reasonable prices in a very sterile environment. This shop has been around for a long time, for a good reason. RIP Bob, you are sorely missed! read more

Went in for a fairly simple tattoo of script along the forearm and my artist was Chris Bailey. The end result was great and Chris was very friendly and professional. Except...I don't know what it is with the plastic wrap after the tattoo here in Phoenix (and it's not just this shop). Wounds need air to heal, I've never seen a tattoo shop use plastic wrap other than here in AZ. I'd say do your own research on aftercare but I took the saran wrap off in the parking lot. read more

I have been coming here for years. My late father had a lot of work done by Bob Sims. RIP thankfully Karen was there to save my side tattoo. Originally I had went to Epic Tattoo and had Aaron starting this piece. As time went on he kept asking for more money and it was sitting ridiculous. Making fun of the people who come with you and your tattoo. He's just rude. I went to lucky draw for Karen to completely re work and rectify my amazing piece. Seriously she is the greatest this color hasn't faded and is a constant conversation starter when im out swimming. I've been needing to get more work done but I also want more tats. Corey is also a phenomenal piercer. This man has seen every inch of me and pierced the most sensitive spot on my body and was completely professional considering where his hand was located on me. He is great!!! read more

I stopped by Lucky draw on my way to a nether tattoo shop, I was talking to the apprentice at the front desk telling him what i was conjuring up. So we left to the other tattoo shop and the guy I was need to talk with was not in and he was backed for 2 week's So with no time on are hands we went back to Lucky draw and low and behold there was May May drawing a vision of exactly what i looking for in a tattoo. I went to this shop after being turned away from another since they had too many people before…read moreclosing time. I was pretty determined to get these piercings done since I wanted these badly. Saw this shop was open and the first impression was already great -- they were very nice on the phone and was more than happy to provide pricing and wait time information. When getting there, you're greeted by the staff and you just tell them what you're looking for. Tattoos take appointments, but piercings are walk-in. And the good thing is they are opened late so if you're wanting something in the middle of the night, they got you. I had to wait a little bit since there were people ahead of me, but once it was your turn, it flied by and it was super quick. ALWAYS ask your questions during the piercing to ensure you have proper aftercare. Since the piercing goes by quickly, they usually send you off quick too. But always ask about the healing time and any solution you can use to clean it -- the staff was more than happy to provide that to me. The piercings were also very affordable even with tip being applied, it did not break the bank! The only downside is that the parking around the area is slim, but walking isn't too bad! The overall environment is spooky/latin I'm taking saw on a bike and Vicente Fernández on the wall! Everyone here is so welcoming and no one is ever making you feel dumb by asking questions. My only fear is that I live so close so I want to get a new piercing & tattoo everyday!!

If I could give this shop no stars I would!! This review is less about the art and more about the employees that work there. First off the shop helper or greeter whatever you call him smelled of booze and had bloodshot eyes not surprising though since there is a bar door. But what is shocking is that I saw the actual artist in and out of the bar very scary for someone who is using a needle on you to permanently change your skin!! You can definitely tell the employees are of a younger generation because of all the gossiping going on. I heard one artist complain of another being an alcholic and a pill popper all night and that the owner herself has multiple DUI's. Again very disturbing. Maybe that's why tattoo shops don't seem like a real business since you can behave any way you want. They have lovely jewelry for piercings so I guess that might warrant one star rating. However I would never let their piercer touch me since a girl came in to have him fix something he messed up. Maybe these people need AA next door instead of a bar. Listen, I heard great things about this place so I went in for a consult. Upon arrival, one of the male staff members made both a rape joke and a racist joke in the span of five minutes. Even worse than that, the jokes didn't even rise to the level of a pity laugh, yet the entire staff was yucking it up like they were seeing Jerry Seinfeld in the early 90s. Soooo pathetic. They were also super brutaI to the women working there. Treating them like they were their bitches. Exqueeze me? Not in 2025. I know the artists here are talented, but they have a busted ass sense of humor and are racist and misogynistic to boot. Like we have so many talented artists to are not bigoted, clever, and fun to be around. Let's give our hard earned cash to those artists. Not these tired ass show girls. Iv'e been getting alot of cover up lately from Karen and have had nothing but compliments on the AWSOME work she does, I used to get my work done from Bob but he has since passed away and I have put all my trust in Karen now, her and Bob started Lucky Draw together and she has continued to keep the shop going. I saw May May on a Ink show on TV. I saw then that she was from Glendale, so I did some research and found that she works at this shop. I called and made a consult and she was FRIENDLY and PROFESSIONAL! I was hoping to get a cover-up or have her work the existing tattoo to make it look like something I was proud to have on my body.
