It is very helpful since I am a 1099 (freelancer) and a W-2 employee. Their prices are fair and they take their time to explain all your options when you are finalizing your return. Ok accounting, when you can get a hold of them. Appalling communication. Not sure how this company is still in business and somebody hasn't sued them. Worst experience with any professional services we've EVER had. Jennifer has zero work ethics and respect for her customers. A mistake in her accounting cost our business tens of thousands of dollars. Not sure how the other reviewers had such a positive experience. Maybe they play favorites? Do yourself a favor and do not hire this company. You'll regret it. Jennifer has the bad habit of simply not responding to emails & voicemails or replying weeks/months later. How can a business completely ignore its patrons? Just don't hire these unprofessional people. Go somewhere that values your business. Take my word for it. read more

Similar terrible experience with this company as Pohi. Not sure how they have such great reviews as communication was terrible, they do not stick to the scheduled appointments, expect us to bend to their schedule, and we "need to understand they are busy." They made an error on our return because the "5 kind of looks like a 9 because it is super blurry" which shorted us resulted in us owing $4k in our overall return. Funny part is we could see the number clear as day when we logged into the portal on our phone. Stop with the BS excuses and just admit you messed up because your attention to detail is terrible. Turbo tax would have actually given us a better return but we went with Black Ink because before their $4k mistake we would have owed $1k more with turbo tax. Turns out we owed $3k more by filing with these "professionals." read more

Last year I knew that I needed a new tax professional. This year like many of us I was really really worried. I tried TurboTax but I quickly realized that I had too many questions and the TurboTax fee was already adding up. My return is a bit complex. Jennifer Carroll was amazing! She was very patient with me and explained everything very well. First-time having my taxes and done as an entrepreneur and Philip was very helpful. Answered all of my questions and reviewed the documents, so that I understood everything. It was smooth process.
