Holy wow! Amazing experience. Staff is super friendly, patient with questions and makes you feel at ease. There were 4 in our party but only 3 passenger seats, so adults went separate and kids got to go twice! Ride was smooth and the pilot was very knowledgeable; serving as our personal tour guide. We did the 10min package which was the perfect amount of time to see Mt. Rushmore and beautiful surrounding scenery. Thank you Black Hills for some lifetime memories!

    Perfect day!

Amazing experience! High Class service. Would Bring my Friends home and family For This experience to Black Hills Helicopters!

Highly recommend! We loved it! It was my friend's first helicopter ride and she loved it. Our pilot, Matt with the beard, was so personable and knowledgeable. All employees were so friendly...we felt right at home. We did the 10 min package, and it was perfect.

Black Hills Helicopters is fantastic! As we came into Keystone from Rapid City we noticed their gorgeous hilltop building and helipad on our right. I decided to check it out because my nephew is really into flying and wants to be a pilot. The other tour providers we saw in Keystone didn't sit right with me. Safety was of utmost importance and upon doing research, I knew Black Hills Helicopter was the right company. Their pilots are extremely experienced and I could tell they truly loved flying and showing off all that the Black Hills has to offer. It was a no-brainer for me to chose Black Hills Helicopters. I went first to inquire about the different trip packages. I was immediately greeted at the door by the owner and head pilot. He was kind, informative, and listened to what I was looking for. I settled on the Black Elk Tour which was scheduled for 18-20 minutes. When I returned for the flight, I again was greeted at the door, this time by one of the staff for Black Hills Helicopters. He and the woman checking us in for the flight were incredibly friendly and fun to talk to as we waited for our flight to begin. A flight was just returning as we got there and the staff when out and meticulously cleaned the helicopter's windshield so we got the best possible view during our flight. We were given safety procedures and were showed how the seat belts worked. When we went out to the helicopter, we were introduced to the pilot. She was wonderful! She also flies air ambulances and recently returned from flying in Alaska. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the terrain and different features she showed us. Most importantly, I felt safe with her and knew she was responsible and an experienced helicopter pilot. We saw Black Elk Peak (which we learned was the highest point between the Rockies and the Swiss Alps!), Horse Thief Lake, Mount Rushmore, & more! Our pilot didn't rush to get us in and out of the helicopter but also took us low before landing in search of elk she had seen earlier in the day. While we couldn't spot any, it was nice that the trip was slightly extended in order for us to try and find them! We ended up being in the air for over 20 minutes which was fantastic!! My nephew and I ended the trip smiling from ear to ear! It was such a great experience and the Black Hills from above is a view that cannot be beat. If you are contemplating which company to choose - stop searching and choose Black Hills Helicopters. You will not be disappointed!

Thanks for your hospitality. Very friendly, helpful staff. I missed the name of our pilot but he was fantastic. Totally worth $89 for a 9-10 minute ride.

Very accommodating and a great way to see Rushmore. Grandpa remembered getting closer, but his previous flight was pre 9-11, so new restrictions on how close they can fly. Great deal for $50!

This is a BAIT & SWITCH!! Beware!…read more They shut down some of the attractions due to under staffing yet sell you the package deals assuring you everything will open up or they will refund you for the closed down attraction. The day I went the alpine slide and chairlift were "closed" but since they promised they would refund that portion of it wasn't up and running by the end of the day I went ahead and purchased the Ultimate Pass. After 4 hours in the park we were ready to leave and slide and chairlift were still closed. Went back for refund only to find sales person was gone and current "manager" would not honor what they were saying earlier. I was staying across the street from this location and noticed after they had closed at 6pm, conveniently the chairlift started moving as employees sat at the bottom hanging out. We only wanted to do the slide and climbing attractions which would have been $70 but like I said we purchased the Ultimate pass for $90. We did have a good time and it was a vacation so I'm not gonna complain too much. The staff here at each attraction was really the only reason I'm adding an extra star. They were awesome and really looked out for everyone's safety and made sure everyone was having a good time. JUST DONT GET SUCKED INTO THEIR BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!!

This is a bait and switch establishment. Told us the Alpine Slide was down but would open up later…read moreso they convinced us to buy the Ultimate Pass to take advantage of the time we would have to wait for the Slide. And if the Slide was never opened they would refund us the price of what the a la carte slide price would be. We did the Aerial adventure for 2 hours and slide still closed. So we did the zip line and tubes but still no slide. It was time for us to go so I went back to the office and was told they would not refund us as we already did everything but the slide and jump. Wtff! It was fun but NOT worth almost $200 for 2 people. ONE STAR for the staff who were all super cool and helpful. ONE STAR for the aerial adventure being a fun 2 hour experience.

If you are up for some adrenaline rush and physical exertion (can you climb a 20ft wobbly rope…read moreladder that makes you feel inverted), then definitely add this to your Mt Rushmore vacation itinerary. Located just 5-8 mins from the Mt Rushmore parking lot. We started of with a $35 package 800ft Zipline and "bungee" jump for the boys and $25 Zipline for us. TIP: don't waste your money on the jump, or the 800ft (15 second) Zipline. Go straight for the Aerial ropes course which have those elements built into several of their 8 paths/courses. We decided after that we wanted to do the 2hr Aerial adventure ropes course high in the trees, because it looked fun, well-built, new, and safe. TIP: They wouldn't re-bundle what we already did into a new package rate. Lame!!!! Buy what you think you might do up front. The regular rate is $49 for 2hrs or $10 less for 1h15m twilight pricing (after 5:00p). You have to start your last path by 6p. And you cannot try a higher difficulty path without leveling up from an easier level (yellow to green to blue to black). We did the twilight rate and only had time for the yellow, green, and blue. The green and blue were really fun, and had great Zipline and Jump elements built in. We were told the black is a real workout, not quite American ninja warrior hard, but hard. The equipment is very safe and the staff is well trained. They use a tweezle ropes system which is very safe with built in redundancies. Some of the yellow path equipment could use some tightening. Bathrooms were nasty. All in all, we had a blast and wished we could have spent all day there. This was the best ropes course we have ever tried.

I found one after we had gone that would have given us a free pony ride with the purchase of a children's entry. BUT save your receipt as you can enter again within three days. The farm itself is very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our kiddos LOVED this place! You do pay extra for feed, pony rides (four/five laps around the arena) , or train rides. The pig race was fun to watch. They even encourage kids to guess which will win. Our kids loved watching and cheering for their pick to win. We spent some time around the playground as well. They had covered shelters around the playground so you can supervise your kids in the shade. There are restrooms on the grounds as well as in the gift shop. We didn't use the ones on the grounds, but the ones in the soft shop were very clean. We would visit again! All the animals were super friendly as well. (LOTS OF CUTE BABIES!) I am from North Dakota, so this isn't too far from home for me, but even if I lived across the country I would make a trip here at least once a year! Plus, how can you resist free range baby goats and sheep? The absolute best, and an instant mood lifter. My husband and I have been here probably a handful of times and I still get just as excited to make the trip here as I did the first time I ever went. We took our daughter, who is 18 months old, and it was the perfect first family trip we could have taken. It's fun for both children of all ages and adults! The price is even reasonable at roughly $19 per person and you can even buy a cup with feed for the animals at only $6. If you don't want to buy a cup for $6 they also have multiple feed dispensers that are 25¢ for a small handful. Once you walk out the door you are immersed into a whole farm experience. There are multiple animals that roam free -- such as chickens, goats, sheep, and even turkeys! You can feed them and even pet them (which I think is the best part) They have bathrooms available for people to use if needed, even pavilions for you to have a picnic. Most of the animals are in pens (excluding the few free-roaming ones) and some of the pens you can even go in and really get the whole petting zoo experience by being with the animals. They have pig races, baby goats with their mamas, and even baby bottle-fed cows, as well as baby chicks you can pet! This place will always hold a special place in my heart and is has been a favorite of mine, and now that my daughter also loves it, I will definitely be back and will recommend it to the whole world!!

Right at the beginning, you get to step up to a presidential podium and read from a teleprompter, which is such a unique and entertaining way to start. Inside, there are over 100 life-sized wax figures, including every U.S. president, displayed in scenes that represent important moments in American history.
