    Wind walker course

Every employee we came into contact with was absolutely AMAZING! They were all so friendly, excited about their jobs and actually wanting to help people! We did all the rides and cave tour, we will definitely be back in future visits to SD!! We particularly loved the gentleman who helped my daughter on the wind walker course, he went well above expectations helping her and coaching her through the course!

4.2. Fun place for families w kids Coaster was especially fun being able to break if you have a kid on board w individual cars. The cave tour took an hour. Prob ok for kids as young as kindergarten. Some steep steps not for the elderly w slight bending and darkish corridors. Tours were every 20min and really was 58degrees and nice during the hotter afternoons. We were there at 10am opening and did one round of everything and had snacks on site and finished around 1:30p. By then was close to 100degrees out. On the 16 south from rapid city saw the reptile city thing, the bear park, candy city all suitable for families w kids. Could spend a few extra days here w kids in addition to mt Rushmore . Had we known could have brought our kids here when littler...perhaps w grandkids one day

We were not entirely sure how interesting this cave tour would be but since Jewel and Wind Caves were booked days out, we decided to give this location a shot. It is not too hard to find as it is close to Keystone and other popular attractions around the Mount Rushmore area. Besides a cave tour, there are a few other fun attractions for your family like a zip line and coaster. We came for just the cave tour though. The tour itself lasts for a little more than an hour and you walk about 1/2 mile throughout. There is varying degrees of chamber sizes that you walk through, you do have to watch your step and duck down every now and then to navigate through the caves. There are varying degrees of levels that you walk through and so if you are in need of a flat tour, this is not it. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and actively asks for questions from the group, they are excited to tell the stories of this cave system. Prices are pretty reasonable for the area and for the time spent while on tour. The tour guides are very informative and family-friendly and this makes a great thing to do while in the Rapid City area.

We can't imagine not having a tour without our amazing guide, THOMAS!!! The cave was massive, just like Thomas!!! Massive-ly good at his job. He told us all about the natural laxitives that created all the flow-rock. All those natural laxitives growing on cielling were SO COOOOL!!!!! 100% 5 STARS

We didn't do the Adventure park but if you have youngish kids it looks like a lot of fun. Ok I'm married to a teacher so when you go to SD you go to a cave. This place is so much more, but I'm old and have bad knees so this was not my scene. On the other hand my wife has been before and she said it was one of the best. Being from New Jersey were we are below sea level just making it from the parking lot was a hike. They run tours ever 20 to 30 minutes or so and our group was about 25. Although one lady had to turn back 5 minutes in. If you are Claustrophobic don't go down there it, dark. Our tour guide Casey was funny, sweet and full of energy. She had jokes and story's that made the hour go fast. I have one suggestion for the owners of the cave, invest in some Cotton gloves for your guests if you don't want them touching the walls. Some of the parts are small without railings so not touching the walls is almost impossible.

The kids enjoyed themselves here. The wristband was worth the money. There are only a few things to do. They were able to do it as many times though with wristband but after a while it got boring for them. The cave experience was amazing! A work out walking back and forth too. I wouldn't suggest this place if there are elderly along. The roller coast was awesome! You control your own speed.

Definitely one of the coolest places to spend a day playing in the Hills. Buy a day pass, do it all and get the whole experience!

This is a BAIT & SWITCH!! Beware!…read more They shut down some of the attractions due to under staffing yet sell you the package deals assuring you everything will open up or they will refund you for the closed down attraction. The day I went the alpine slide and chairlift were "closed" but since they promised they would refund that portion of it wasn't up and running by the end of the day I went ahead and purchased the Ultimate Pass. After 4 hours in the park we were ready to leave and slide and chairlift were still closed. Went back for refund only to find sales person was gone and current "manager" would not honor what they were saying earlier. I was staying across the street from this location and noticed after they had closed at 6pm, conveniently the chairlift started moving as employees sat at the bottom hanging out. We only wanted to do the slide and climbing attractions which would have been $70 but like I said we purchased the Ultimate pass for $90. We did have a good time and it was a vacation so I'm not gonna complain too much. The staff here at each attraction was really the only reason I'm adding an extra star. They were awesome and really looked out for everyone's safety and made sure everyone was having a good time. JUST DONT GET SUCKED INTO THEIR BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!!

This is a bait and switch establishment. Told us the Alpine Slide was down but would open up later…read moreso they convinced us to buy the Ultimate Pass to take advantage of the time we would have to wait for the Slide. And if the Slide was never opened they would refund us the price of what the a la carte slide price would be. We did the Aerial adventure for 2 hours and slide still closed. So we did the zip line and tubes but still no slide. It was time for us to go so I went back to the office and was told they would not refund us as we already did everything but the slide and jump. Wtff! It was fun but NOT worth almost $200 for 2 people. ONE STAR for the staff who were all super cool and helpful. ONE STAR for the aerial adventure being a fun 2 hour experience.

If you are up for some adrenaline rush and physical exertion (can you climb a 20ft wobbly rope…read moreladder that makes you feel inverted), then definitely add this to your Mt Rushmore vacation itinerary. Located just 5-8 mins from the Mt Rushmore parking lot. We started of with a $35 package 800ft Zipline and "bungee" jump for the boys and $25 Zipline for us. TIP: don't waste your money on the jump, or the 800ft (15 second) Zipline. Go straight for the Aerial ropes course which have those elements built into several of their 8 paths/courses. We decided after that we wanted to do the 2hr Aerial adventure ropes course high in the trees, because it looked fun, well-built, new, and safe. TIP: They wouldn't re-bundle what we already did into a new package rate. Lame!!!! Buy what you think you might do up front. The regular rate is $49 for 2hrs or $10 less for 1h15m twilight pricing (after 5:00p). You have to start your last path by 6p. And you cannot try a higher difficulty path without leveling up from an easier level (yellow to green to blue to black). We did the twilight rate and only had time for the yellow, green, and blue. The green and blue were really fun, and had great Zipline and Jump elements built in. We were told the black is a real workout, not quite American ninja warrior hard, but hard. The equipment is very safe and the staff is well trained. They use a tweezle ropes system which is very safe with built in redundancies. Some of the yellow path equipment could use some tightening. Bathrooms were nasty. All in all, we had a blast and wished we could have spent all day there. This was the best ropes course we have ever tried.

I found one after we had gone that would have given us a free pony ride with the purchase of a children's entry. BUT save your receipt as you can enter again within three days. The farm itself is very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our kiddos LOVED this place! You do pay extra for feed, pony rides (four/five laps around the arena) , or train rides. The pig race was fun to watch. They even encourage kids to guess which will win. Our kids loved watching and cheering for their pick to win. We spent some time around the playground as well. They had covered shelters around the playground so you can supervise your kids in the shade. There are restrooms on the grounds as well as in the gift shop. We didn't use the ones on the grounds, but the ones in the soft shop were very clean. We would visit again! All the animals were super friendly as well. (LOTS OF CUTE BABIES!) I am from North Dakota, so this isn't too far from home for me, but even if I lived across the country I would make a trip here at least once a year! Plus, how can you resist free range baby goats and sheep? The absolute best, and an instant mood lifter. My husband and I have been here probably a handful of times and I still get just as excited to make the trip here as I did the first time I ever went. We took our daughter, who is 18 months old, and it was the perfect first family trip we could have taken. It's fun for both children of all ages and adults! The price is even reasonable at roughly $19 per person and you can even buy a cup with feed for the animals at only $6. If you don't want to buy a cup for $6 they also have multiple feed dispensers that are 25¢ for a small handful. Once you walk out the door you are immersed into a whole farm experience. There are multiple animals that roam free -- such as chickens, goats, sheep, and even turkeys! You can feed them and even pet them (which I think is the best part) They have bathrooms available for people to use if needed, even pavilions for you to have a picnic. Most of the animals are in pens (excluding the few free-roaming ones) and some of the pens you can even go in and really get the whole petting zoo experience by being with the animals. They have pig races, baby goats with their mamas, and even baby bottle-fed cows, as well as baby chicks you can pet! This place will always hold a special place in my heart and is has been a favorite of mine, and now that my daughter also loves it, I will definitely be back and will recommend it to the whole world!!
