Instead I will tell you to just go ahead and boom Chef Wes. We booked him for my dad's birthday. He called to help with the menu because everything on his website sounds divine. And I said that. While we originally picked like 8+ items from each course, we ended up with 3 appetizers, soup, salad, surf n turf, and dessert. It was too much food but there is not a single item I wouldn't order again. We had coconut shrimp, bacon wrapped scallops, and tuna cups for appetizers. I don't even like shrimp that much but omg he may have converted me. Or ruined me because no shrimp will ever come close to tasting that good. The second course was cuban black bean soup and wow! I could've finished with these 4 things and still given a raving review. We weren't planning on soup because it was so hot but I'm so glad we did! Make sure to get the cuban black bean soup. Then we had Watermelon salad that was the perfect amount of fresh fruit over mixed greens and a balsamic dressing. Yum! Our entree was surf and turf. Since we didn't catch anything fishing, Chef Wes picked up fresh Mahi Mahi and topped it with a delicious salsa. The filet was cooked to buttery perfection. The green beans were so garlicky and crunchy and delicious. We had potatoes that we thought would be a nice addition but we're actually seasoned amazingly and was one of the best surprises of the entree. Then when many of us were stuffed to the brim because it was all so good and we couldn't stop eating, we had the Mangoes morada. Fresh Mangoes over ice cream topped with cinnamon sugar almonds and a grand Marnier and chocolate drizzle. The cherry on top of a perfect evening. Chef and Lluvia were just so friendly. We really enjoyed their conversation during our m3al. They timed courses well. We had a few breaks to rest between the later courses and a bit longer before dessert. Lluvia left our rental spotless. She was just so great. I cannot say anything better about our experience for the night. Make sure to book Chef Wes for any meal while you are in the keys. He is worth every penny. Chef Chris and his team created a beautiful culinary experience. He had servers to help the customers get their favorite dishes, as well support to clean up as the night progressed. We added glassware for drinks from the party planner that was not scoped out originally, but the team was able to adapt and made the pick up/ cleaning process a breeze. Even though the party was outside, the team was able to set up and leveraged the area to make it run like a chef kitchen should. We had chicken yakitori and tuna as appetizers. The entrees were Ramen with your choice of protein and toppings, teppanyaki style beef and chicken, as well as fried rice. The food was served in bamboo cutlery as well as the cutest "take out" boxes. All the guests thoroughly enjoyed the dinner. She immediately sent me his contact when I called and asked for recs. They came to my house on time (even early!), set up an outdoor kitchen to cook, set the bar, and took care of all the food and drink. The staff could not have been friendlier. They kept our home, yard and pool stocked with great service and cleaned everything upon departure. The service was top notch and the food was equally impressive. ALL of our guests were impressed and raved about the food. The bartenders even helped me craft/serve a signature cocktail for the party. When it was all said and done I realized two very important things. 1) for the quality of food and service, they were very fairly priced. 2) I will never again host a large party without them! I would, without hesitation, use Delicious Catering again and again.
