When I was visiting my parents for thanksgiving my dad and I decided to check this location out. Located in a strip mall, this location is impressive! There are different TVs with news/sports, the service is great! I'm not a smoker but I enjoyed a tasty glass of champagne, and my dad checked out the humidor found a cigar he liked and ended up having a glass of red wine as well. He and I just chatted and checked out all of the different merchandise, such as the interesting skrimshaw pipes and cigar box banjos. Little did I know that I would meet the dog behind the name of this location, black dog was just chilling on one of the chairs in the lounge. Such a well behaved dog, I didn't realize they were there until my dad pointed her out. :) Would definitely come back to this place again when I visit FL. read more

I came into the Black Dog for cigar after dinner and I was very happy with their large selection of cigars, clean establishment and beautiful decor. It's a family owned buisness and the owner was very friendly and had a wealth of knowledge about cigars. They also had a large selection of tobacco and pipes as well as other cigar paraphernalia. I also loved how they had a bar with chilled glasses for their beer and wine. They had spacious seat with leather seats and there were alot of happy friendly patrons. Overall, I loved coming here and would highly suggest it if you want to sit back relax and enjoy a stoogy. My "relationship" with the folks at The Black Dog Cigar Bar began several years ago. I wandered in one night on a whim, and was greeted by Jeff. I was new to cigars and had very little knowledge of what I might like. Jeff answered all of my questions and politely made recommendations which were spot on. I've now become not only a "regular", but a part of The Black Dog Family. The owners are wonderful people, the humidor is packed with a huge range of fresh cigars. The beer is cold and refreshing. I'm a first timer in Black dog, Great vibe in the place..very true to the reviews posted..this is a Perdermo cigar bar (which I'm a fan of) so the selection is awesome for that brand however if I had one thing I personally would want to see , it would be more options /Brands to choose from but this is by no means to say they don't have vast options just not the quantity of choices within those brands..But I love the spot and I will definitely be back! read more

The owner helped me choose a excellent cigar for $7! He then offered me a beer while I enjoyed the cigar. They had comfortable chairs to relax in, TV's to watch sports and 2 beautiful dogs to pet. Jeff the manager knows his product, but the crowd that hangs out there is great for any social background. I went to Black Dog to buy a nice pipe stand during store hours on a Saturday morning. There was an older man in the back office when an old black dog came out growling. The dog approached me and he was definitely not friendly. The guy in the back office (whom I presume was the owner) could see and hear everything since the office had a large glass window. He made no attempt to call or control the dog, and he could clearly see that I was uncomfortable. I left the store with the dog growling behind me. My car was parked right in front of the shop and I remainEd there to see if the guy came out to apologize, but he stayed inside. My advice is to buy online or go to another store. One of the few full service tobacanists on the Treasure Coast. Nice sized walk in humidor. Also a no service lounge with several large screen tvs. Most of the staff consists of older gentlemen that are courteous and knowledgable. Prices are on the higher side but a relatively good selection of quality cigars. The management isn't quite as courteous and patient. After dealing with them I find myself feeling like they could care less if I came in or not. read more

I walked into this cigar shop and found an older grey-haired male working on some paperwork in his office. The office had a large window so he could clearly see the sales floor, but there was no one else was in the shop. I should add that I am a profesional, and I was well dressed, so there was no mistaking that I was a customer. I then heard the loud barking of a dog that existed the man's office. It was an older dog that came right up to me growling and barking. I was clearly uncomfortable, but the guy didn't even lift his head from the paperwork. The dog didn't bare his teeth, but was menacing. I backed up to the door keeping my eyes on the dog who kept barking and growling. The guy then got up, but he didn't call the dog or say anything to me. I opened the door and left. My car was right outside and the guy could see me, but never came out. Here's my tip, Avoid this place like the plague! read more
