I cannot recommend Teton Movers based on our experience. I…read moream a military brat and also served in the military, so I have moved many times throughout my life. This was, by far, the worst move I have experienced. We provided multiple video walkthroughs before the move, but when the driver finally arrived, we were told they only had one video and that some rooms/items were not accounted for. I had called multiple times beforehand to ask whether they needed additional time or information for packing, and I was repeatedly assured they did not. The movers were scheduled to arrive at 9:00 a.m. but did not arrive until about 12:45 p.m. They brought a truck that was too small, did not bring enough boxes, and did not have enough packing materials. They eventually had to purchase more boxes and rent a U-Haul trailer, and we still had to buy about $300 worth of plastic tubs and bins ourselves just to get everything packed. We also had to load items into our personal vehicles because there still was not enough space. The packing process was extremely disappointing. There were major communication barriers with the driver and the two movers who packed and loaded our belongings, which made an already stressful situation even harder. Many items appeared to be packed carelessly, with very little protective material. Some glasses had only a single sheet of paper around them, and I even found what appeared to be a used napkin wrapped around one glass. In several boxes, our own clothing was used as packing material. Because of the delays and lack of preparation, we did not leave our former residence until around 10:00 p.m. and then had to drive through the night because we were closing on our new home the next day. Teton Movers was aware of our timeline. Since the move, we have found many broken items. One of the most upsetting losses was a handcrafted glass bowl from Italy that was given to us as a wedding gift. It is now completely destroyed and cannot be replaced. The only bright spot in the entire move was the two movers who helped unload at our destination. They were professional and helpful, and I appreciated their work. Unfortunately, that positive experience does not outweigh the overall lack of preparation, communication, care for our belongings, and professionalism during the rest of the move. I also could not easily find clear information on their website about how to file a claim for damaged property. Based on this experience, I would not use Teton Movers again and would caution others, especially military families or anyone on a strict moving timeline, to carefully consider other options.

They stacked furniture pieces that have metal feet on top of other wood furniture with no protection at all. The tops are scratched badly. They put heavy boxes and large taxidermy pieces on top of leather chairs, permanently damaging the leather. Heavy boxes were stacked on top of other boxes that caved in from the weight. These people should not be in the moving business.

For those of you wanting additional information: After getting a written bid and scheduling the date, my mother's moving date arrived. What was supposed to be a crew of 6, was a crew of 2. They only worked part of the day, showed up with several boxes no packing materials (when the bid included the cost to fully pack a 2500 square foot house and packing was described by the owner as "boxing and bubble wrapping" items) and failed to do the job they had committed to. The crew stopped work in mid-afternoon, lied about "coming back" (they never came back) leaving my 70 year old mom and (temporarily disabled) stepfather to try box and try to move themselves. When confronted with angry phone calls, the owner lied about the actions of he and his crew. Big, heavy items are still left in the house. What kind of a business or business owner does that? Someone disingenuous; and certainly no one that you want to enter into a business arrangement with.

He was very nice and called us back. We had been in touch with Black Diamond moving company, but bc of the friend of a friend connection, we decided to give DD a chance. Big mistake. During our move a couple pieces of furniture were damaged. We took pictures a s reported it. We were told their guy looked at them and couldn't fix them, so they would replace them. We were told the parts were ordered. We followed up 60 days later, and the next person we spoke with said they couldn't find any records or orders etc. they promised they would take care of it. A few more months pass, and we follow up again. Still no replacement pieces. The next guy we spoke with said he had never heard of us calling in about our issues. Though he was polite and apologized, we're now 5 months out with replacements that take 6-8 weeks to get in just now being ordered. All in all it'll be 6-7 months before we receive the replacement item. If it'd been handled in a timely manner, fine. But at this point it's past ridiculous. The number of phone calls and time it's taken our end to get it taken care of while being lied to and yanked around has really put an awful taste in our mouths with this company. I wish we'd just found someone else to handle our move. Stay far away and check out other places in town!

With feeble apologies, he promised to come over within an hour. Three hours later, still no response. Based on the TOTAL lack of responsiveness of this company and lack of courtesy to call to say they are running late or have a problem, I certainly wouldn't use Duffel Donkey to move. Would they even show up? Would your household goods ever show up once loaded? Sorry to be so harsh, DD, but first appearances matter. I gave you three chances and you failed.

On the day of the appointment they called me and asked if they could swing by the location early since a previous job had been finished. I of course said yes. Once there they got to it and finished the job in just about half the time we had allocated. Everything was carefully handled and they took extra care with some of the more fragile items. I highly recommend this company for moving jobs!
