The LVP is lifting in areas because there are uneven surfaces. The LVP has lifted so much, that the boards are sharp where they have popped. I contacted Modern Flooring Services and they informed me that my warranty expired in February (2 months back) and that they won't be able to help me. This isn't a warranty issue, this is an installation issue. Don't use this company as they won't make good on their mistakes. They did offer to provide an estimate to repair the work, however. UMMM. No thank you.

Our initial elation was tempered a little when we uncovered some badly patched areas that we thought might not be able to be repaired. But then we contacted Hardwood Perfections. They came out quickly and advised us that indeed they could repair all of the damage and could do it on a timetable that fit perfectly into our plans. The floor refinishing crew did amazing work. After pulling up all of the damaged materials they rebuilt portions of the subfloor and then laced in new oak boards in a way that matched the existing floor perfectly. Next were several rounds of sanding to remove the old finish and even out everything. On the third and final day they applied Bona Natural water-based sealer followed by three coats of Bona matte finish. The results were stunning. Hardwood Perfections completely transformed this living space into something beautiful and amazing. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail was flawless. All along the way we were advised of what was happening so there were never any surprises. Hardwood Perfections finished the job a full day ahead of schedule, did amazing work and stuck right to the estimate for services. Everything was fantastic and I heartily recommend them to anyone seeking to have old floors refinished or renewed. Hats off to Slav, Silviu and William for their truly amazing work.

Glad we covered things, that was not done or done very well. Slav said they would move the range and seal there, they didn't. Said they would remove the trim, not looking like they did. Now wondering about under the fridge. Why write this? I was not home for this work, recommend that you see that what was agreed to is done. I paid for those things. Getting refund for range and sealing off rooms, but would rather have had the work done right than discover what wasn't done. As for the refinishing, they nailed the loose boards I identified and sanded/sealed. Looks good.

Lesson learned. I bought and had them install carpeting. Less than 2 years and I wish I left my…read more10 year old carpet in. Maybe they have good carpet and maybe they have worse carpet. I always pick the middle grade of everything I buy. After I pick the carpet I wanted I should have googled the quality of it, but I had faith and I wish so badly. I can rip this out. I look at it every day and regret the thousands of dollars I spent. So if you go with this company review the product that you're having installed, I am so unhappy. The carpet became very mat and very aged. I've now had to put runners to cover places.

We also changed out our original bamboo floors that were getting scratched and dented to LVP flooring which looks amazing next to our new carpeted stairs! Went here for flooring for stairs and bedrooms, I had purchased laminate flooring for downstairs…read moreonline thinking I was getting a good deal but the MDF backed flooring I got is crap, so I wanted to see what I was actually buying. I really wanted a bamboo based laminate but all of theirs were mdf backed so we just went with a regular plywood backed laminate. The one we chose was out of stock but due in so we went ahead and ordered it, came in pretty quick and so far the flooring I put on the stairs looks great, we have medium size dogs that run up and down stairs and it is holding up great, I will probably end up redoing the downstairs with flooring from these folks.

They were helpful in choosing a wood for our family and the installer was so efficient that we ended up taking a few boxes back to the store for a refund. They also refunded the labor portion of those boxes because they said "we didn't end up installing those boxes." While I'm sure extra boxes were ordered to be on the safe side, I was still pleasantly surprised at the extra refund. My floors have been in for over a month and I could not be happier. 12/17 update: I still love these floors! And my house renovation is ongoing. From time to time I'll stop in this store for a piece of transition or a small amount of flooring. They almost always remember who I am and are extremely helpful!

Ron and his brother Dave have well over 70 years combined experience installing and refinishing…read morehardwood floors. They are definitely from the old school of doing things, which is one of the reasons I decided to have Grateful Floors redo our hard woods, because they don't cut corners! They are also about one of the only floor refinishers, in our area, that don't push the water based coatings like every other contractor, and instead prefer to use the original Swedish floor finishing products since they are more durable and outlast anything else on the market today. However, they also will use water based coatings when requested. Swedish floor finishing is more time consuming, labor intensive, and requires a three day process to apply, but the results are absolutely worth it if you don't want to redo your hardwoods every five years or less. Anytime you have your floors refinished it's a major inconvenience, but Dave and Ron were very careful to properly prepare our home for the refinishing process, including masking off areas of the house for dust and informing us of each step of the process as well as what time they would show up for work etc. They were always prompt, and true to their work with a high degree of attention to detail. I would highly recommend Grateful Floors to anyone looking to have their floors refinished both for the finished product as well as their costs which was very reasonable as well.

The only reason this isn't 5 stars is due to the tardiness of the gentleman who did the job. We had to follow up with the owner when no one came during the window we had someone at the house. Once he arrived, it got done though, and he even came back out to follow up on the job.
