    Tv that didn't work.

Stayed from 6/27/25 to 6/29/25. Facilities around the ranch are in good condition, specially the lake side pool. Awesome. Big meadow golf course was beautiful. The restaurants around the property close very early, 8 pm which seems odd specially for summer. The website and app are awful and clunky, we actually had an easier time using the old school map to find things around the ranch. The lodge room we stayed at was disgusting and the absolute bare to be called a room. The cable also didn't work. The tv was the size of Michael Scott's in the office. Filthy carpets, filthy bedding, unpatched holes in walls. Will never stay here again, specially for $700.

We had high expectations, however, the experience was far from a fine dining experience that you would expect from the Black Butte Ranch Lodge. First off, most of the meals were fair to OK at best. The duck came out, looking like it was mangled by the backyard dog, our steaks were good, but mine had hard bristle on at least 1/8 of it that I never had a chance to eat... I wonder if that's part of the weight of the portion size that they sell to you? All of us had vegetables (sides) with our meals, and they were all undercooked and small in portion size. It was a a fine-dining atmosphere, but the service wasn't. In fact the service was awkward as it was inexperienced at best, in that our main server was experienced, but the rest of the crew was not. All were very nice, however, lacking in higher service standards!! Our bill was $332 + a mandatory 20% tip ($68) ... we told the on shift management -- not expecting any freebies as we are all affluent -- however, this place was not worth the money paid.

Came here for a quick bite after a hike and it was great! I got their chicken sandwich and splurged with an apple fritter. The apple fritter was absolutely divine, crispy and fluffy and just the right amount of apples. The chicken sandwich was pretty great as well. Their fries are very crispy. The sandwich could use a bit more chicken, but we're still pretty good! I really enjoyed my meal with the beautiful scenery by sitting outside next to the fire. Got lucky and spotted some otters during our lunch.

MISSING DOG BLACK BUTE RANCH AREA. Calvin ran out the back of the ranch 05/29/2022 near Trillium and Anapholis into the forest. PLEASE keep an eye out for a brown pitbull with white chest. He is hard of hearing and doesn't see well. We love him dearly and want him home. Any info or possible sightings please call 503-830-0876.

    Tuna tartar appetizer special

Dinner at the lodge was a great experience! And for the price, we were amazed at how good the food was. Homemade pappardelle noodles were bomb, and the ribeye was super flavorful. Yummy cocktails, too. Beautiful place! This picture is of our tuna appetizer.

We were here in the middle of the week and were fortunate to have the entire grounds to ourselves. I found the hikes and trails super easy and well-groomed. My wife and I booked Cabin 17 for 2 nights last last year, for June 30th and July 1st this year. We were so excited to finally be able to stay at the resort, and when we arrived, we paid our balance and got settled in. Then things got crazy! The people staying in cabin 18 were strongly slamming the door and there was a child screaming at the top of his lungs at approximately 8pm. A few minutes later, there was solid banging on the connecting wall! I mean banging that would have knocked stuff off of it! I opened the door, and went to knock on their door, and a lady sitting outside at the picnic table area, got up and approached me asking if she could help me with something? I told her that there was solid banging on the wall and there was screaming coming through the wall. She informed me that the child was autistic and was having an issue with the camping. This continued up until a bit after 10. My wife and I were just so stressed. This was not what we came up to the resort to achieve! We decided that if they were there for our other night, then we couldn't stay. It was just insane that this was to occur! I understand that the child had a personality disorder but, I wasn't there for that child I paid to achieve some relaxation, and to just enjoy the lake and surroundings! I cannot fault the parents except, that they should understand that they are affecting others especially at a campground or resort, I am sure it is rough for them as well. We informed the gray haired woman at the desk in the store about the fact we had to leave do to the aforementioned situation, and that we regretted it but, we just wanted to relax, and there was no way that would happen if there was another incident! She informed us that she would pass it on to the manager but, didn't seem too believable. So, I am sending this to have a record the it has been passed along! I will also be fair in my review of the resort. Sincerely, Christopher Gonzales The place is beautiful, and was I am hoping, a rare occurrence but, unfortunately, it happened to us! We paid over $360 for a night that left us more stressed than when we arrived! The cost is for 2 nights which is the minimum stay at the time. We stayed One!!!
