This space gives luxury, beauty, and an all around girlie aesthetics. I was greeted with a warm welcome, and they offered me water and a place to sit and relax. One of the massage therapists shared detailed information about their services. She was very helpful. The bathroom was even stunning and very clean (see pics). My first con is the parking situation. It's limited. My last con is that I wished they took health insurance for their medical massages. I believe they are working on that part. Overall, this place is a MUST-GO. I had a facial done at Black Bella DC by Josei which was fabulous. The spa is spotless, the staff is friendly and everyone is professional. I was offered 2 kinds of water and several kinds of hot tea upon arrival. Josei was extremely knowledgeable about exactly what my skin needed in order to look more revived. She took her time with my skin and after she finished she recommended me some products from the Black Bella Skincare line. I left with a PH Balancing toner and a Skin Repair Cream. Both of these products have completely salvaged my skin! I tried everything before i used her products and for 7 months nothing worked. Gosh. Im so disappointed that I can no longer support this business. Josie has chosen not to honor her discounted pricing. It's a shame that the service is only ruined by the business practice. Even after I confirmed with Josie by text and by phone that I reserved my appointments during the time window of the discount I was blatantly told that the discount would not be honored. The owner and her staff were very consultative. The Black Bella team took reasonable time AND great care in helping us decide what treatments would be the most effective. I wish Yelp offered 0 stars! The staff is unqualified and unprofessional. The owner has horrible bedside manners. My mother is a MD and she was applaud when I expressed to her my experience with this place. Upon arrival I was required to wear a mask which I know most medical places do but since I was fresh out of surgery and less than a week post op I was completely not fully thinking about anything but my pain and swelling. Black Bella claims to be experts at post op care was horrible and very unwelcoming. My aunt drove me to the post op massage because I could not drive so I mentioned she could wait in the lobby for me. Apparently the owner was annoyed that someone was with me, mind you I am not even one week post surgery. I can not drive. I've never been to this place and had no idea what to expect and boy was I shocked with the service and reception I received. I would NEVER recommend this place especially for people who are looking for caring lymphatic drainage therapists. I left without having my massage completed in the same pain I came with and thankfully I quickly found a new established facility with seasoned professionals to take care of me. The owner responded sorry they are not a good fit. Can you imagine going to a hospital and the doctors said sorry I can't care for you. You are not a good fit for our emergency room!
