We saw this creamery while doing some brewery hopping near Wintergreen. There were lots of flavors and a sherbet for a non-dairy option. I didn't see any lactose free options :( lots of choices for toppings and the portions were generous. Our party of 5 was quickly served. There is seating available inside and out.

Stumbled on this sweet little spot while driving through the mountains--and I swear it felt like the universe whispered, "You need ice cream today." So I listened. I ordered the ice cream flight (because why commit to just one happily ever after?) and was handed a tray of tiny, colorful scoops that looked like they belonged in a storybook. Each one had its own charm. I sat outside under the trees, sun on my face, ice cream in hand, fully present and weirdly emotional over how perfectly simple it all felt. The staff was sweet, the vibe was calm, and for a moment, everything slowed down. Like the kind of magic you don't realize you needed until you're holding it in a waffle cone.

Ice cream flavors an hour before they close (lots still!)

You MUST stop here if you aren't lactose intolerant, and even if you are, they have sorbets for you! We came twice while we were here for three days- we couldn't resist! They have seating inside & outside. The service is quick- even if the line is out the door- it's not bad. The ice cream is so good- they make them all in house, but they don't make their cones in house.

Drove by this place and had to turn around! Looks like a house with a big deck. Doesn't matter which direction you are traveling, it's after the distillery! From the south it after Bold Rock distillery on the opposite side. From the North it just after Three Notch'd brewing/distillery. The freezer case reminds you of Cold Stone, where the flavors are in metal pans. 10 flavors of ice cream and 2 flavors of sorbet. My wife had the Bear Tracks ice cream with peanut butter sauce as a sundae. I had the mango sorbet. Both were good. This was a nice stop on a hot afternoon. Staff was very friendly!

    Omg. Amazing.

When you're made to fill like you're burdening the staff before you even order, it's not a great start. I asked another local business was Chirios was and he responded, "depends on who's making your food" lol. I've worked in similar looking pizzerias, so the condition of the "kitchen" didn't concern me much. It actually kinda feels like you're in the back of house, rather than in a dining room. The local free library was interesting. I ordered a cold Italian. I wasn't expecting much when I first saw the bread, but the sandwich turned out to be decently tasty. My biggest complaint is the amount of oil added to the sub. The menu doesn't mention vinegar and oil, which made me worry the sandwich might be dry. I usually opt for vinegar but skip the oil. The Italian included both, but way to much oil. You can see in the pic, the amount of oil pooled in the to-go box. And that's after what soaked into the bread! I think I would have enjoyed the sub way more if I had asked for no oil. All that being said, I would def go back when I'm in the area.

The staff greeted us with warm smiles and helpful tips, making the experience feel welcoming from the start. Their marketplace has a wide selection of apple varieties, most of them are ready for sampling. While wandering the rows, we stumbled upon a few new favorites--crisp, sweet, and just the right amount of tart. If you're looking for a family‑friendly outing with fresh fruit, friendly faces, and plenty of tasty discoveries, Chiles Peach Orchard is a must‑visit. Notes: This maybe not in their control - lantern flies were everywhere, they don't bite, but they are invasive bugs, be careful not to get hitchhikers. Also, they sometimes add an admission fee on specific picking days, so check their website beforehand to avoid surprises.

When we got there, we learned that nothing was available to be picked except for flowers which were way overpriced at $20 for 15 stems. So we walked around and looked at what they had to offer in their store. They had some peaches and nectarines to taste and I'm glad that we ended up not picking them because the white peaches had no flavor and the regular peaches were so tart. We did get to taste some of the other items they have for sale and I ended up buying a jar of peach salsa, which was sweet and spicy. Unfortunately they ended up double charging me for the one jar of peach salsa (the cashier made me scan my card twice because she said the first transaction didn't go through) and my credit card company reached out to me to ask if I had made both purchases. The saving grace for our hour and a half trip was their ice cream. They had some delicious peach flavored soft serve. I understand that picking fruits is seasonal, but for people like me who don't live nearby and check the website before making a long drive out, it would be great to make sure that the information posted is accurate.
