This business took our car in after one day of receiving a parking ticket. We tried to pay the ticket online that same night of getting the ticket and it didn't work online - the ticket wasn't in the system. The next morning by 6:30am the towing company driver was pulling up to take our car. When asking him why he was going to take our car even tried getting the ticket paid, he told us he didn't know anything and to talk to the cops. We're lucky to have credit and resources to pay the towing company after 7 hours of back and forth between cop station, DMV and this towing company. Most who lose their cars to this company are unable to pay, and this company not only gains from their loss since they have a business to sell impounded cars, it also charges people for every day the car is inside their pound regardless. We saw the person in front of us struggling after hearing the cost of getting his car back and being unable to, & then being told that if he didn't pay on that day he'd have to pay more every day. If he left his car and didn't want it, he'd still owe $750 and if he couldn't pay, it would go collections. The woman speaking to him showed no emotion, no compassion, or empathy for his situation. ****Warning**** Got my corvette towed after engine shut off nearby on Sunday which police came by and since my car was dead in a no parking anytime zone so this towing company was available at that time only! And unfortunately . A guy came name Felix and I told him must be so careful since the car is racing low car in perfect body condition. He picked it up and no problem till he dropped it off in my parents house (since was closer) then the hook from the towing truck damaged the front splitter under bumper. So I took photos and videos before and after then called the office a few days later and supervisor name (John) spoke with me and said there is no record! Lol After a few minutes finally found it in system! He said you should come to office and fill out report for damage. I drove there and waited till 6:45 pm (15 min prior closing) then John showed up. He said we didn't do it. There was damage before picking up the car... Then i show every photo and he tried his best to throw the ball at me and saying there was damage before picking up. Then he look in my eyes and said; What do you want? I answered... I want it to get fixed. He said; I'm not going to replace or fix the bumper... So I'm not done with you guys. Came to pick up my parents car that was stolen at approximately 12pm since they would charge extra $50.00 after 1pm and last night I couldn't pick it up because the closed @7pm. When we got here we tried to start the car but looks like who ever stole it used up all the gas and dumped it the vehicle. I went couple blocks down to get a canister and some gas. I asked the gentleman that I have never done this and he help when I get back. He said absolutely. It literally took me 10 min there and back. Well, he left for a dispatch and no one was available to let us in to go to the vehicle. We had to wait for 20 more min until someone else arrives. Finally someone does and let's us in to the storage to go to the vehicle and put gas. I asked him to help and he refused with attitude and I explained to him that the other employee promised us to help. Let me start by saying my mother is 70 years old, there is no way she can possibly do this on her own. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of that Hispanic employee. So after 30 minutes of trying to do this myself and that employee not giving a damn that I am having difficulty with this situation and all fuel is leaking on me and I'm already dirty. Ends up that who ever stole the car punctured the tank and all my gas I'm inserting is leaking out of the bottom of the car. Now I'm even more mad. Ended up spending $600 just to get dmv paperwork up to date only to go back to the tow yard and find out it was nearly triple the amount of money of what they originally told me to get the car out. If I had the correct information in the first place I would've happily just signed the car over instead of paying those dmv fees for nothing. This company needs to be investigated by both the BBB and the Bureau of Consumer Protection for fraud. One of my cars was stolen and abandoned in front of a fire hydrant and it was promptly towed by this shady company. I only discovered this because they sent me a letter stating my car had been towed and was subject to a lien sale. I promptly called them to let them know that I would be arriving with the police report and my identification to prove I was the owner and I would have no issue paying for any impound fees. When I arrived in person, they said the car had already been in the lot for 3 weeks (even though I had just received the letter a day prior) so the cost would be even higher than the amount that was on the letter they sent and here's the kicker, they wouldn't let me obtain my title in the glove box even though I had my license with me. Lol. I'm guessing they do a multitude of insidious things in order to keep your car in impound as long as possible so you keep accruing fees. I locked myself out of my car at a gas station late at night. My Roadside assistance referred me to black and White towing. The tow driver (Mariano) arrived faster than the ETA I was given. He was patient and tenacious. It took him several attempts, but he was able to get my car door open. Also he was pleasant and kind. I'm glad I was referred to this towing company.
