There we were, a former division 3 starter and a former high school JV back up point guard going head to head in spot ones, giving the Manhattan skyline that stood tall in the background a show to start the day. The infamous "Battle for the Brooklyn Bridge," as some pundits are calling it. We were on one of the five courts, and there I was playing my typical game dribbling the air out of the ball to get a struggle bucket. He was lowkey cooking me I can't even lie. His 3pt percentage from treball was odee shooting hesi hang pulls... I would never say this to his face but he is a wonderful person and a gifted basketball player... it's a shame he's 5'6. After the war of the behemoths, endorphins flowing from a good sweat, we just sat there taking in the sites and talking about how much we love the game. Basketball genuinely makes me feel like a little kid again. It gives me that pure happiness and sense of purpose that I have spent my adult life trying to replicate in something else. Entry was free (unheard of in this day and age!) and skate rentals were only $20+tax. Believe me when I say the energy of all the skaters, employees and DJ were off the charts! Everyone was positive, enthusiastic, supportive and friendly! There were impromptu conga lines, electric slide dances and smiles aplenty. I must have skated for about 3 hours with only the occasional 3 minute break to catch my breath. In case you got hungry or thirsty, there were small mom n pop food and drink vendors by the entrance charging very reasonable prices. The best part was being amongst such talented skaters! I've only been skating three times now but I feel like I leveled up just by watching others here. The music was very good and was played by a in-house DJ. The folding chairs were okay but weren't sturdy enough. This rollerskating rink is what the surrounding neighborhoods needed to satisfy the need for more indoor recreation. I'm glad they joined the neighborhood, Everyone needs a pair of roller skates....lol I'm kidding. It is a great way to burn calories while rollerskating. I hope that positive energy and positive vibes will remain in this business so that people can come and enjoy themselves safely while having fun. However, business owners just need to take more time to fix the necessary safety precautions to properly ensure that everyone doesn't hurt themselves. There was a metal piece on the floor that was indiscreetly covered by a shoddy rug and that needs to be addressed because it's an accident waiting to happen. Upon pulling in, we noticed a very large parking lot that you do not have to pay for. Once we parked, we walked in and immediately noticed kids doing rock climbing and signs for gymnastics classes. We came here for "Bumper Cars On Ice" about an hour earlier than we needed to so while we waited- we were able to walk around and see what else this arena had to offer. In addition to the rock climbing and gymnastics, there was ice skating, ice hockey, a basketball court and a food court. Although there were people all over the place, it didn't seem too crowded. As far as the bumper cars, we had a blast! As an adult, I did not expect to have as much fun as I did as there were people of all ages participating in the fun! Overall, GREAT PLACE for family members of all ages I would definitely come back!

Very passionate and all-in when it comes to teaching & creating a safe / fun skate experience for everyone. They are running a smooth ship here. Now they do have indoor soccer fields here too and have party hosting capabilities as well. Didn't experience those sides of the business but the soccer fields are typically packed when we stopped by. All in all, great place to come for Skate Lessons or just enjoy an Open Skate evening.

It's perfect for those getting acclimated to skating. There are plastic assistive devices for little ones to skate more confidently. Be mindful of the various skill levels and parental oversight. You are skating at your own risk and some caregivers are more vigilant than others. Overall it was a pleasant experience on a milder $10 (admission and skate rental included) Thursday night. Pro tip: if you can hack it, the 4-5:30 pm Thursday session is the least crowded AND least expensive when school is in.
