It also has skate rental, lockers, food & drink for purchase, and good seating. It's great for all from new skaters, becuase they provide safety walker for beginners. The night I went the dj was playing all of the cookout/old skool house party hits, it was cute. Plenty of space for photo opts. The event was a goodazztime!!!

Entry was free (unheard of in this day and age!) and skate rentals were only $20+tax. Believe me when I say the energy of all the skaters, employees and DJ were off the charts! Everyone was positive, enthusiastic, supportive and friendly! There were impromptu conga lines, electric slide dances and smiles aplenty. I must have skated for about 3 hours with only the occasional 3 minute break to catch my breath. In case you got hungry or thirsty, there were small mom n pop food and drink vendors by the entrance charging very reasonable prices. The best part was being amongst such talented skaters! I've only been skating three times now but I feel like I leveled up just by watching others here. If you're new to skating, rest assured that the community is as friendly as they are skilled! 5/5 beach skating event.. thank you RollerWave NYC!

This a review only based on the Grand opening…read more The wait was terrible. I don't think management even knew what they were doing. The line was long. Only because they did not limit the amount of time of previous attendees. They should have cycle out the attendees to accommodate the next group of ticket holders which is every 2 hours according to "their" waitlist. Adults were all catered to based on the amount of skates they had. Or if you bought your own, you could go in right away. If you had young kids, the wait was about 1.5 hours just to get inside. Getting the skates was another issue. They had one iPad and 50+ people waiting in line for skates. I was lined in the back and finally made my way to the counter to which they asked if I had signed the iPad. I said no and they told me to go wait at the back of the line. I told them no because you have one iPad. Not my issue. I was lined to the left and the iPad was passed only on the right side. How the hell am I suppose to get it if I'm in the opposite side?? It looks way over crowded. Probably over capacity which makes it a safety hazard. This place has no air conditioning or ventilation honestly. The smell of BO is disgusting. Huge turn off. Imagine what it might smell like in the summer. 99% of the workers spoken broken English if none at all. Honestly, how do you run a business with no fluent English speaking workers. One girl with the blue hair and bleached eyebrows obviously doesn't speak a lick of English because she kept speaking to me in Chinese. I told her I didn't speak Chinese and she just kept repeating. Then she said child and no. Make it make sense. There was also no enough helper stands for little or new kids to skate. I saw grown ups holding on to one for their child at the side but they themselves were not skating. Other need to use it also. I wouldn't come back to this place for awhile. Maybe I'll give it another shot. But that would be a long time coming.

The booking process was easy, and the staff are very responsive through email. They use a portal for the payment, contract, and waivers which is very convenient. When I arrived, the staff were very helpful and gave me the wristbands and vouchers for hot chocolate right away. They explained the bags for storage were an additional cost, even for large groups, but they were nice and gave me additional bags I needed after purchasing two for our group of 40 people. The lines were EXTREMELY long and slow for general admission which is disappointing when the sessions are limited to 1.5 hours. By the time you purchase tickets and get your skates, part of the session is over. Our session didn't end right at the session end time; they seem to give an additional 10-15 minutes after the end time. I wouldn't recommend getting the $2 chocolate add-on for large groups. Students said the hot chocolate wasn't hot and also didn't taste good at all. This was disappointing given the additional cost. Overall, I would recommend this rink but hope they can provide quicker service at the ticket counter as well as at the skate rental.

We met at Baked Melissa on 42nd street. The guide gave us instructions. I was late so I did not hear the instructions. The goal of the race is to find items on a list (movie poster, triplets, slide, dog with clothes, flag, big clock, guy with mets cap, bus driver), 3 out of 6 pictures (daily news globe, muppets at fab schwartz , apple at hudson river park etc) and a find of (12 different flowers or 6 different vendors that sell meet). In addition, for extra point, you had to check in with the guide at times square and if you choose to perform a specific task. The event was tiring. We had to run towards the end of the race to get everything. My team won of course. However, given that we paid $35 for the race. I expected more like water to be provided, nutrional snacks a the end of the race, some sort of metrocard for public transportation and better prize (i got a plastic medal and t-shirt).
