Recent rains had created a mess on the property with a massive spread of weeds and vegetation growth. The amigo I usually turn to for landscaping needs stood me up. Adios Marcos. After that, it got so bad it couldn't be taken care of by humans. I was in desperate need of something to take down an acres worth of overgrowth. Thank goodness for BJ's. We went to BJ's to see if they had any sort of machine that would help. They recommended some sort of robotic looking thing. The Orec Cyclone Flail Mower was a God send. This thing was absolutely incredible. A one day rental was only $150 and came with the trailer to tow it and some sort of tutorial on how to use it. I wasn't sure we could finish in one day, but really didn't want to pay for a two day rental. We were finished with two acres worth of weed plowing in 2 1/2 hours. This machine make mulch of everything we rolled over. It is self-propelled and all you have to do is steer it. It was so easy to operate, my 70-year-old father had no problem. The staff at BJ's was very friendly and helpful and even loaded it when we picked it up and unloaded it when we brought it back. If you are looking for any sort of yard maintenance equipment or anything else for that matter, I would highly recommend giving BJ's a call. I don't think anything will beat BJ's. read more

Perfect lunch spot. Atmosphere is good, service is excellent. Marguerite pizza was incredible!

We called in Friday 4/9 and received some equipment to be picked up on Saturday 4/10, upon arrival was told that this location no longer has it and we will have to go to a different location to get it! WOW! The guest service here is subpar and we will never go or recommend this place again. Such a wast of time. read more

Rented a trencher and only had one left and had bald tracks when I got it and kept stalling over and over. Told the counter and no discount or credit to reschedule for a decent unit or anything. Didn't get the job done as the unit got stuck multiple times since it didn't have any traction and kept stalling. Unsafe unit and shoulda been refunded to reflect the subpar performance and maintenance. I'm a contractor and have rented from them many times but this time was definitely unfortunate. read more

You can always count on BJ's to have the equipment you need to get the job done. Our company rents hot pressure washers, paving equipment, ditch witches, towable boom lifts, and even 5 yard dump trucks from BJ'S. They are always professional, courteous, and helpful. Their equipment is well maintained and operational. read more

This is the second time in one month that I rented from BJ's I am very unhappy with their customer service. The first time I rented from them they gave me the wrong tractor. The second time I rented from them they brought me the right tractor with the wrong size bucket. I called them and told them I wanted the size bucket that I ordered or I was not going to be able to use the tractor. They said they would bring the correct size bucket in the morning and they brought out another bucket that didn't even fit.The bucket was sitting next to the tractor and it was very clear that it would not fit the excavator the bucket they delivered was a quick connect and the tractor was a pin style connect. I had to call Bj's Rental four times and explain to them what they are doing wrong before they got it right. Jamie was very rude to me. Jamie scolded me for calling the machine a tractor instead of an excavator. I reminded her on the previous call that I was complaining about her giving me a 12 inch bucket on a excavator and that that was not what I ordered. Jamie is one of the rudest people I ever dealt with in my life she constantly cut me off when I was trying to explain to her the situation treating me like an idiot. She kept telling me that they brought out the correct size bucket. I told her yes the bucket is the correct width but it doesn't fit the tractor. She argued with me and treated me like a piece of crap she continue to interrupt me when I try to explain to her that the bucket doesn't fit the tractor. I will never use them again unless they make this right with me. read more

I choose BJ's above other rentals because of good service and quality equipment. Today I called to rent a double axle car trailer and upon arrival was told my 4.3 liter V-6 S-15 Jimmy with towing pkg was not sufficient; had to be a 3/4 ton pickup minimum. I used this vehicle to tow a car on the same type dual axle trailer from Michigan to California previously. It would be quite helpful to have these restrictions listed on the web site or during the phone call to save my time and gas dollars driving to the site only to be refused. Not appreciated. I rented from a competitor instead. read more

What a joke this place is I reserved 8' ladders they took my deposit were supposed to move them up here for my Business. Called to check because you can not trust them to help you. And they told me they have 10' ladders for me so you change the customers specs and don't even bother calling to see if it's ok. Here is what is curios they had 10' ladders at their yard til them it would not work. Needed them to get me 8' ladders so they did not even make a effort just lied and tricked me. Have workers showing up tomorrow but can't do the work. Last month spent close to $2000. There and this is how they treat you. Between the guy who takes your info promises to call back and never does just last mont 5 times he did not call me and 3 times he did not call my customer. This place will ruin your business. read more

0 in 5 star... Rented a sod cutter, the drive belt was worn and poorly installed, the machine was in poor running order and the belt needed to be changed as it was twisting in place due to the poor maintenance. As the belt became warm it continuously would twist and bind in the pulley system causing the motor to stop and not be able to be restarted due to the binding. I've used BJ's in the past, and this is the first real issue. If this manner cannot be resolved in the local office, this review will remain as a poor rating. read more

This place sucks, I rented a auto trailer ( drive on type) They don't tell u need to bring your own tie down chains And the crappy ramps they supply you have put them in your vehicle so the don't fall off trailer. Also 90 dollars for A couple hrs. What a rip off. I will never rent from them again read more

Rented a 13HP roto tiller. In and out in about 10 minutes. Young lady at the desk was easy on the eyes too, that never hurts!

I showed up to rent a log splitter and when I was told the rate, I left because it was not what I expected. I ended up renting from their competitor closer to home for almost half of what they were going to charge me. read more

I went to the BJ's Rentals in Lemon Grove (8121 Broadway) but there is no listing for this location. Regardless, I am a new homeowner, and the crawl space under my house flooded during this major storm we had just before Christmas. I discovered the three feet of standing water under my house (x1200 sq ft crawl space) the night before Christmas eve. Called them Christmas Eve morning, they were open 7am-noon, and had a pump/hoses for me to rent. They were very nice, friendly, and informative. They even allowed me to keep the pump over the holiday weekend for only one day's charge. I will defenitely rent quipment from here again, versus going to a large chain like Home Depot, where I highly doubt I would have gotten that level of service and consideration. Thanks! read more

I recently rented three power tools from BJ's: a hydro jet drain cleaner, a lawn renovator (dethatcher), and a lawn aerator. In each case, the staff was friendly and the price was reasonable. They also provided a small trailer at no extra charge. As a homeowner, I appreciated the courteous service and the extra insights into how to operate the equipment. I will certainly look to BJ's for future rentals. read more

No personal service. Billing department Stone Cold. If you try to explain your situation they go to default service. That's a big problem when working with construction companies and a credit card. ? ? ? read more

I got there right at 5pm as they were closing needing a piece of equipment. They said were closing and wouldn't help me out in a pinch. I have been a good customer for years and was thoroughly disappointed. I even talked to the manager who said it was Friday and he needed to get out of there. Just my opinion, but it goes a long way when a service based business goes a little extra for you. read more

This place is a joke!!! Called them and asked about renting something and tried to pay it over the phone, wouldn't take the payment over the phone, but would take our information. Was talking to them on the phone letting them know we were just a few blocks away and they hung up on us. We arrived 10 minutes to 5 but they were already walking out and locking the gates. They close at 5. Truly one of those places where low quality people work!!!! read more
