In-and-out in about an hour. Bravo!! We are patients of Dr Shechter. She is thorough and very professional. Recently my 86-year-old mother became alarmed at a sudden change in vision. Dr Shechter was able to see her immediately! She diagnosed the problem and referred her to a wonderful retina specialist, Dr Saran. The staff at PECS called the specialist on our behalf and secured an appointment for the very next day. How gracious and wonderful!! We always considered Dr Shechter and the staff of PECS to provide 5-star professional service for our routine eye care. Based on this unusual situation (when thorough and prompt service is critical) we wish we could give them 6-stars. Thank you!!

Dr. Clark and his medical staff, the fabulous individuals you are fortunate to see, once you leave the receptionist area. Dr. Clark and his staff of nurses and residents are phenomenal. They are consistently extraordinary, which I attribute to the exceptional leadership, rapport, and fine character of Dr. Clark. Sometimes, there's a disconnect between those who are supposed to schedule, return calls, and cordially welcome you at the reception desk. He's not only a brilliant doctor and surgeon, but an artist at the top of his craft. Far too often, when you call any of the office locations, the call will go to voicemail. Dr. Clark has worked vigorously to correct this, as if it was his own family member experiencing an issue. My recommendation, if the scheduling staff does not return your call, do not wait more than two (2) business days. Call multiple times, state when you left a message, and ask again for the courtesy of a call back. If you're complacent, you may needlessly wait for a return call. Sadly, the scheduling staff, too often, operate with no sense of urgency, nor consideration. Note, the receptionist at this location, is the lone exception to an entire staff that is cordial, and nice. My sole mixed experience, by far, is limited to the practice's Collegeville office, where the medical staff is phenomenal, thorough, empathetic, and personable. However, the lone receptionist can be belligerent, and doesn't realize that a receptionist represents the initial impression of any business, as the person "behind the front desk" is the first person a patient, client, guest, or customer interacts with. The wonderful nurse with a fabulous demeanor, that provided all measurements of my eyes, was as sweet, efficient, professional, kind, and courteous as anyone could expect. I cannot praise her service enough. This practice affords patients the latest technology for examining your eyes; it's truly amazing. The consistent service that the highly professional, and cordial medical staff utilizes to provide the most effective, and efficient care is exceptional. There are few physicians I've ever encountered that are finer in the Ophthalmology field akin to Dr. Clark! He has compassion, empathy, and remarkable communication, and people skills. With this combination of knowledge, experience, skills, and personality traits. I highly recommend Dr. Clark.

They were over an hour behind with appointments the day of my procedure. Patients were backed up out the door waiting to be checked in. Very limited space in the waiting room for seating and some people opted to wait outside because there were no available seats. Other patients that came in after me were seen before me and the office had the audacity to call my home and say I missed my appointment when I was sitting in the the waiting room for over an hour. The receptionist even discussed why a patient was there in front of the other patients. The Doctor previously told me the procedure I needed takes less then a minute and I feel my time was wasted. Needless to say I left without being seen for my procedure. I will never go back or recommend them to anyone. Save your copay and go where your time and you, as a patient are valued.

I've tried everything I was told to do without any relief. I was convinced it was something else - so I went to this office for a second opinion. It's Penn right - it has to be good. I had a good experience in the office & felt like they took me seriously & gave me a thorough exam. They confirmed nothing was wrong - and it was dry eye giving me the blurred vision. I left & continued the drops & night gel & still nothing works And i continue to have severely blurred vision. 2 more months & I couldn't stand it & looked for a third opinion & made an appointment with Wills Eye 2000 Hamilton Street in Philadelphia. I saw a Dr. Harris - who within 5 minutes into examining me said - you have mild dry eye - which absolutely is not the cause of your problem. An hour later after many tests I was properly diagnosed with posterior capsule opacification (PCO) & am scheduled for a YAG laser capsulotomy next week. It's a quick outpatient procedure for a fairly common problem that should restore my vision. Thank you 2000 Hamilton Wills Eye. Penn Eye Media - you had a big miss here.

Once they called me, the associate was nice doing the various tests but when it came time to see the doctor, it felt a bit like a factory. I felt like I was being rushed and not a whole lot of dialog. Just got right down to business, gave the diagnosis, and moved me on. Not saying the doctors aren't good, but would like to see more personality and interaction with the patient. Ultimately I will need a procedure to correct an issue, but he didn't seem to want to be bothered with my questions. Dismissed me at end of visit by shoving a folder at me saying" go right and give this to the front desk for me". Never looking up from her computer. Her assistant Liz was just as bad. Would not trust her with my care. I have seen several doctors and assistants at Chester County Eye Care and have had good experiences. The front desk is great too.
