Pros: Prices for BJ and non-BJ members are fantastic, especially for being in Columbia. Cons: Staff member working on 10/24/2023 at 2pm. The thing to note is that this place has rules. No matter whether the pump is on the left or right side, all lanes are one-way. This being my first time, I didnt know that. My gas tank is on the driver side. The pumps sided for my car were full, but the pumps for the other side were empty. Logically, I decided to go with the other pumps by backing my car in. I was able to easily place my card, select my grade and begin payment. I pumped my gas, placed it on the automatic lever and got back in the car. After several minutes I realized that my tank had not stopped pumping from the automatic lever. I got out the car to see that the pump had stopped at $1.95. The screen said that the cashier canceled my transaction. I walk to the cashier window and she just stared at me. So I started the conversation sharing what happened. I asked her if she canceled the transaction. With a nasty attitude she said she did. I asked her why and she said it was because all lanes are one way. She said I needed to turn the car around. I told her it would have made more sense to have let me finish playing gas so that when I left I would be out of the way. But nope, the probability of incident and accident increased. At this time, the lines of cars to get gas were going out of the parking lot. Because I am facing "backwards" I then had to navigate through cars and pedestrians. Why I've never been so happy about a gas station until I was happy about this one. Everyone knows the prices of gas are going up and down at the drop of a dime. I was so excited not only to see that there is a BJ's gas station but the price is significantly lower for members and non members than alllll the rest. Another wow factor was, this gas station is located in an expensive neighborhood so who knew? Well now I know and I will be stopping there every chance I get which will probably be 1 to 2 times a month. Clearly I'm not the only person excited about this gas station so there are quite a few people that visit at the same time. They're about 8 to 10 different pumps that you can pull up to so there's no wait. They have a space for you to swipe your card if you have the old BJ's card and a place to scan if you have the new one. There's absolutely no need to go to the clerk unless you want to just go over to say Hi. BJ's gas station, you best to believe you will see me again! read more

Best gas prices around, and you can actually get gas here even if you don't have a BJs membership. I do have a BJs membership, so I'm able to save even further at the pump, but definitely come here regardless. The parking lot is weird since it's right at the entrance of Dobbin Center, which is known for its traffic jams and car accidents, but just come at non-peak hours, and you'll be fine. Be prepared for a line though. read more

Sometimes the scanners for the app do not work. That my only complaint. Otherwise you can get in and out pretty quickly at this location.

Very rude employees. Went twice both time theyre very rude. On top of that they're customers don't know how to pump gas. They take 10 min to get gas cuz they sit in their car to play on their phone but the employees don't do nothing unless you go infront of that customer, cuz they're holding up the line, then they come and scream at you for absolute failure to do their job. After purchasing a BJs membership, I decided to fill up at the BJs gas station. Their prices are $0.10 to $0.20 cheaper than other gas stations in the area. There was a long line last time I went, but was not a big deal for me. They also have several attendants at the station to help if necessary. I have to echo another poster. Why shut off the pumps at night if all the pumps take credit and debit cards? I'm fairly confident the people that work there are useful, but I've never seen them do anything (at least for me). I give the bjs one star because they way there employees act angers me for instance a black woman was working at the gas stand and a white man came around to get gas for his lawn mower which was carried from the back and she said you have to put the gas in the car or it will explode my dad walked up and said first all i saw a black man put gas in the back with his lawn mower and you said nothing to him and i have a lawn mower and there is no way it can blow up and my dad said is that some kind of rule no he said im going to take a picture of you and send it to your boss she was covering her face because she was wrong so in my opinion this is why i give bjs gas a 1 out 5 stars. read more
