And they told me to use a phone to call someone, and that someone forwarded me to their colleague, who is apparently a voicemail machine. The only better part about the second group is that they told me bixi doesn't exist anymore. Those were the highest rated places around. Well there was one more place nearby, so figured to give it a shot. Finally came here, and guess what? They .. rent bikes. $15 for 4 hrs. Very reasonable. Great bike, it was a Norco. Rode all around Mount Royal and it was a breeze. Brought it back, no hassle. Don't bother with the other guys, who may or may not have bikes and don't even know where to refer you. These guys will take care of you. They have lots of bikes and the guys seem to know what they're doing. Highly recommended.

Compared to a lot of new coffee shops brewing new wave coffee beans that tend to me more fruity and acidic, this one brews old school italian coffee. This gives a much richer and round coffee with chocolate and nut flavor which I love. No art foam on their coffee but who cares, just simple good coffee at its best. Super cool bike shop for cycling fanatics! Beware, they are closed on Monday!

I held off on a negative review for nearly a year, giving the benefit of the doubt. I purchased a Schindelhauer bike from them and the online payment system calculated purchase and shipping (great price). This was a mistake with the payment system and I called the next day and we figured out shipping. The bike arrived damaged unfortunately. I took dozens of photos and tried to submit to ups directly. Unfortunately a damage claim has to be submitted by the shipper. This involved UPS and a shipping company they use called freightcom. Velo lifestyles blamed freightcom, so I reached out to freightcom.... They blamed velo... you see where this is going. Keep in mind this is nearly a year into this! I had an unusable bike until the manufacturer actually sent me a fender to mount. I originally had tried to bend the damage away from the tire to make the bike usable. I give credit to Schindelhauer for providing the part... it really wasn't their issue. Velo put it off so long I emailed Germany and got it myself! They now claim that they no longer ship to the United States due to shipping issues. I would avoid purchasing from this company due to a shady handling of the shipping claim. They seem nice on the phone and might be a good option if you pick up in person. I can speak to my experience with them. I would avoid any business that won't support their customers or stand behind a sale.

Millions of people pour through the Big O every summer without realizing that they are just a few blocks away from beautiful heritage buildings, and a quarter with an impassioned history and community. Hop on one of the Velopousse bikes and you're in for a fun ride, but also an education. The drivers are young people from the neighbourhood who are proud to tell you about the different community kitchens, coops, youth employment programs and other initiatives that have defined the character of this scrappy area, and served as a model for other community organizations internationally. From my experience they are also really flexible - they can run you over to the Biodome, drop you off at a bar and pick you up later, and go fast down hills to make the kids squeal. Very inexpensive - plus special rates for locals - and well worth it.
