Dr. Nguyen and his entire staff have always been professional, welcoming, and friendly every visit. My most recent appointment was with their dental hygienist, Jan, and her dental assistant, Andrew. They were both amazing -- very thorough, gentle, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire appointment. You can really tell they care about their patients and take the time to provide quality care. They also did a radiation free scan of my teeth that checked my teeth and any abnormality in my mouth. The consistency and attention to detail pro providing top-notch dental care is second to none. Dr. Yashari has gentle hands and very easy to talk to. I am a Dental chicken and terrified of any work in my mouth. He always been so patient and gentle with me. Their work has been literally pain-free and quick. I had cracked my tooth over the weekend and made a mistake of going to a dentist that was open on Sunday and paid hefty fee for a temporary work. I found this place through my new dental insurance after chipping a tooth. I loved that it was…read morewalking distance from my home (first hand clap!). I especially loved how most of the staff were Dodgers fans (second hand clap)! Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Visit #1: They took X-rays and told me I needed a root canal and a crown and then I was hit with the out of pocket cost: $1400! I had to laugh and say "Wow! My insurance must really suck!" in the best effort to stay positive. They explained my payment options and I went with the payment plan. The dentist numbed me, prepped me and I left with a temporary crown. The visit ran a bit long, but I didn't mind. Visit #2: The surgeon took my blood pressure before numbing me stating that it was "procedure." They confirmed it was the same anesthetic used as the previous day and it crossed my mind, Why didn't they take my blood pressure yesterday if it was 'procedure'? He did the root canal and put another temporary crown on. Visit #3: Hold on to your helmets! It goes down fast from here. My appointment was at 1:30pm but I wasn't seen until after 3pm. All I needed was the crown put on. I didn't leave until 5:40!!!! And during the procedure, the dentist DRILLED THE TOP OF MY LIP on accident. I had to walk my angry, cold body home with a ice pack to my face! And now I have a scar. Afterward I read Yelp reviews about questionable billing so I called my insurance. His words exactly, "This looks shady." He confirmed that I only owe $650, not $1400. Hide ya kid's teeth, hide ya wife's teeth...this is not the place to go! If you want honest, professional care, check out Dr. Nguyen at 11855 Inglewood Ave in Hawthorne. He was my dentist for years and I am switching insurance just so I can go back to him.
