A bar in the middle of nowhere. You're going to get exactly what you expect. I went here to check out a buddy of mine's band. Pretty cool little set up. They played outside on a spacious deck which is nice. Better than being cramped up inside a smelly bar. Interesting, pro-war crowd of drunks. Which can be expected, considering it was "Support the Troops" night. Didn't appreciate the pushiness they had though when it came to it. I don't know how many ways I can say, "No. I don't want to buy a raffle ticket for a TV I don't need to support the troops." This is America, our government loves war, I'm sure the troops are getting plenty of support. The lady then proceeded to try and talk my brother into buying a ticket for me and at that point I really thought about leaving...why don't you buy a raffle ticket for me lady, if you're so into supporting the troops? People like that annoy me. And that's exactly the crowd this place has.
$10 to get in. Not sure if it's always like this, but man, that's kind of a lot for a bar out in the middle of nowhere. The beer was cheap. That's a good thing. The bartender wasn't the friendliest person in the world, but she was somewhat quick. Believe me people, a smile here or there goes a long way. And it's not that hard to do. I believe I said this already, but I really enjoyed the fact that they had an outside area. It was a nice night out. Free jello shots by the end of the night. Nice. My friend's band was great.
Overall, this place was all right. Just the people who worked here were not the friendliest and the fact that they were so in your face about buying raffle tickets was definitely something I did not appreciate. Hopefully I'll never have to venture out here again.
