I cannot say "overrated" when I'm the first one to review this place so maybe let's go for "Not bad but overpriced".
This place opened 4 months ago at the time of my review. The tenants are very nice, friendly and of good advice when it comes down to detailing each dish and pairing it with wine.
The place itself is very nicely decorated, a retro bistro style featuring a large wine selection, couple of beers and cocktails, a daily special and a small menu.
Prices are slightly high. $26 for the "grand aioli provencal". 'Grand' means 'large' in French however we got quite a tiny portion. I do understand that fresh veggies and fish come to a certain price however I did expect a larger portion from the description.
Veggies were poached, 2 tiny pieces of cauliflower, 1 carrot (!), about 5.3 oz of fish, 2 potatoes, 1 large piece of fenugreek, 1 overcooked egg (! the yolk was green on the outside!).
64 Euros for 2 plates and 2 glasses of wine...I doubt this place will remain in business for long if they keep going in this direction, but I wish them the best.
Don't get me wrong, food was 'OK'. Just not up to the price. read more
