Solid choice in the Vieux Port but nothing special.
Ambience: Acts snootier than it actually is but the place is nice quiet and clean.
Service: This is the snooty part. Friendly enough but a little stand-offish and this was with me speaking French the whole time. The owner was nice but his staff needs a little work.
Food: Good quality. I went for a dinner and had sea-snails with aioli for an appetizer. They were over cooked and rubbery but the aioli was simply delicious. The bouillabaisse in the prix-fixe was below average. Apparently if you order it off the menu (at a much higher price) it is better. I went back for a lunch and had scallops with a salad. Huge portion but the scallops were a little mushy. The flavor was nice but the texture was odd. They were very accommodating in providing me with a small dish of their aioli to go with the bread. I could eat that stuff all day.
Price: Okay for the Vieux Port but there may be better places, I would have to try a few more to have a better idea.
I'd be happy to go back for the aioli but everything else was average. read more
