Right off of Avenue de Ternes, the Bistro des Ternes is a quiet neighborhood bistro, not overly touristy. There is sidewalk seating available; however my visit was on a cold rainy day so I sat inside. A family run establishment, we met the owner and family during our meal, very welcoming and helpful. French was the only language, but Google Translate has no problems with their menu so ordering was easy.
Their menu focuses on mediterranean cuisine. I ordered one of the coucous dishes and am very satisfied with the experience. The serving size is ample. Moreover, the combination of the juices from the vegetables and couscous was delicious. By putting raisins and pepper sauce on the side I was able to control the spiciness of the dish without any language problems.
They maintain a full bar and have the quintessential french wine list.
Thumbs up on this bistro. read more
