You should go for 3 plates at $72 (a better value) but we didn't feel up to it. I had the (2) scallops from Magdalena islands which were very good followed by the lamb shoulder which was very disappointing for the price. The ingredients are mostly from the region (serving anything else would've been insulting if you ask me) but they do not justify the price. The wine pairings are somewhat "boring", they could really up their game with non-SAQ wines. You can do better in the region if you want to taste local ingredients, Vice-Versa really needs to take another look at their prices, especially the 2 plate option.

My kids had a butter crepe and waffle w maple syrup from the kids meal. Both were mediocre. Another friend had the "logger special" (or whatever their "big and meaty" option was called). The serving size was huge but none of the components looked particularly good. I don't think I'd revisit for brunch. But maybe I'd try for dinner since it looks like they take that meal more seriously and the other reviews here seem mostly positive. The town area here is lovely and the restaurant itself is decently nice/very clean. It isn't obvious to me that the town offers much in terms of good food experiences, so maybe it's best to come with more reasonable expectations? I don't know.

I loved their cabbage salad with carp caviar, definitely a unique tasting dish. The service is great as well. The wine card is short but nice, they're mostly private imports. There's a communal feeling to the whole thing as everyone arrives at the same time and eats at the same time. Every course comes with a thorough description of the ingredients' origins and how they were prepared. It's also a good deal for what you're getting/discovering. My wife went to college and Montreal and I lived in the New York City area. Although neither of us is Jewish, we both enjoyed some of the best Jewish deli food in North America. Our food arrived around 10 minutes later and looked very good. The meat was piled high with two pieces of untoasted rye bread. There was a bottle of plain yellow mustard on the table. We started with the smoked meat sandwich. The meat was so tender and had a good flavor. The flavor was not as strong as we were used to. The rye bread was cut thick and it too did not have the strong rye taste we expected. The cole slaw was excellent with a very good taste. The chips were just out of a bag. Overall, this was a good meal, but it didn't have that "extra" that would push it into a great meal. It's definitely worth eating here.
