Sitting astride the walking Main Street, this pub features Microbrasserie Charlevoix's beer variety. Serving traditional pub fare. The restaurant is classic tables for two, grouped as needed for parties up to twelve. For nicer weather, there is a terrace, which is heated as needed for all seasons. Looking forward to coming back.

While passing through Baie-St-Paul I really wanted to visit the Charlevoix Microbrewery, but unfortunately it was closed. Instead, we made our way to the Saint-Pub, which is affiliated with the aforementioned microbrewery, for a little tasting session. They have a rolling stock of 8 different beers out of a total selection of about 15 products. The possibility to order a 4- or 8- galopins (125ml) was very appreciated as I was able to taste all their beers. I especially enjoyed the Double IPA Barbe Rouge, but overall all their product were good, despite not being over-the-top. The terrace is quite large and has a great view of the beautiful Saint-Jean-Baptiste Street and its plentiful art galleries. I definitely recommend stoping for a fresh one if you ever are in the surroundings.

We stopped here for dinner and a drink after skiing at Le Massif. Nice little pub in a very quaint town. Service was good and menu was also in English. The saison was good and food was decent and not too expensive. I got the chicken burger which was made out of ground chicken which I wasn't expecting but it was still good. Would go back for sure.

The beer was good. I did not have the food. All of the food that i saw looked wonderful. Good place to grab a beer after skiing at Massif.

What a surprise!!!…read more We had toured the Parc de la Chute - Monmorency. On our way in we noticed a church that had been converted into a "Pub". After our tour we decided to divert our walk back from the falls to the car and instead made our way over to have dinner. We had no idea what to expect, we assumed that it would be your typical pub fare of bangers and mash or bubble and squeak. Could we have been more wrong??? Instead we found a gastronome's delight! What a menu... We chose to share the Table d'Hote. We started our meal with the Creme Brulee de Fois Gras...what a refreshingly new combination of flavours and textures. We knew we were in for a treat by the look on our waiter's face when we ordered it. Next we had the Cote Levee de Porc avec Frites et Salade...a lovely spare-rib dish. It was perfectly done with meat that fell off the bone. The sauce was nicely sweet but not overwhelmingly so. For dessert, we chose the Sugar Pie. I had been longing for a decent Eclair throughout our trip...unfortunately, I would have to wait until my return to Buffalo to find one. This pie, however, was an extraordinary reward for my patience and more than satisfied my sweet-tooth. Finally, the wine. We each had a glass of the 2008 Rivus, Rosso Toscano from Montalcino, Italy. It was a great pairing for the meal, we were happy that we chose to follow the recommendation of our attentive waiter. The wine list is one of the most balanced that we have seen in Canada to date. It is evident that a great deal of thought went into the wines as well as the price-points being offered. Our thanks and congratulations to chef and owner Danny Bergernon for bringing together such a great blend of tastes and atmosphere. The Pub de la Chapelle is certainly one of the best dining experiences that we have had the pleasure of partaking in. For those of you wondering about the price for all of this, here's the breakdown. We chose the Table d'Hote so we were allowed to choose an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert, the cost $38ca. The wine was $9.50ca/glass. Quite reasonable for such a delightful treat.

We were seated on the patio and our very sweet server was right out to take our drink order. Since we are eating Poutine all over Canada in search of our favorite. We so enjoyed sitting on the patio, it was a beautiful day, we were people watching and enjoying the umbrellas place up the alley. Our poutine was delivered to the table and I can honestly say it was our favorite. The fries were crunch and creamy on the inside. The gravy was rich and had a deep flavor and the cheese curds had lightly melted. Every bite was perfect. The eatery and bar are tucked into a stone house that dates back to 1668, if only the walls could talk. The bar and restaurant feature local Quebec cuisine and is a gem. The service was excellent as was the atmosphere.

It is quaint and small and we could see our family and even shared some food since we Were close enough. The cheese fondue is not to be missed . It was absolutely the perfect start to our meal. Then we shared an original poutine and it also was delicious- best I had on our trip thus far! I ordered mussels for my meal and a steaming pot arrived and they were yummy. Ambiance and service were great. They accommodated our awful French attempts. Drinks were large. Honestly, I feel lucky to have dined here. Everything was wonderful!
