I came in at around 5pm and seeing as there aren't many dining options in Knowlton which are open at that time, I came here for dinner. I guess other customers were also thinking the same thing because for a sleepy Wednesday night, it was surprisingly busy. All the tables along the windows were taken as were all the seats at the bar. In fact so were the second row of tables as well. I didn't want to try anything adventurous so just settled on their burger with fries and salad. All of it was perfectly fine and in fact the burger was kind of great. Service was quite brisk but friendly. I didn't have any issues with anything. I'm just taking a star off because prices are a little inflated.

We were seated in a room behind the main terrace, with only 4 tables in this section. It felt isolated and left out. The iron chairs were not as comfortable and the atmosphere was not the same. Also, we waited for an hour to receive our main course. Our steaks were tasty, but overcooked (we asked for medium rare and medium and both got medium well). At this point we were hungry and did not want to return the dishes and wait again. The dinner was, in my opinion, overpriced. $60 for overcooked, hardly 5 oz filet mignon that arrived an hour after ordering, takes one star away. The staff was very polite.

Started with lattes, mine was a dirty chai (chai with a shot of espresso). Never had that before, interesting combo, but not for purists :) We each had the crèpes salées, savoury crepes filled with asparagus, cheese and ham, with hollandaise. Oh the ham was so good, big pieces and wonderfully textured. We each added a poached egg, because why not. Potatoes and a small fruit cup also on the plate. A maple butter for the fruit was absolutely amazing, but no way to eat all of it and I felt bad for the wastage of something so delicious. Would return yo try a grilled cheese sandwich, of which there are so many to choose from and seemed a hot item coming out of the kitchen. Service had zero flaws and was quick and efficient. About $30 each on the bill with tip, a very satisfying experience.

Parcelles brings farm to table to a new level by putting the table in the middle of a farm field. Finding your way to your table at Parcelles you walk through their vegetable garden and past the chickens and are then seated at a picnic table over looking the fields and Lake Memphremagog. It is truly one of the most beautiful settings you can imagine. The menu is a prix fix which in our case included a selection of local cheeses, fresh vegetables, Matane shrimp, and a pizza cooked in their outdoor pizza oven topped off with a blueberry vanilla cake with cream cheese icing. After a recent article in La Presse resulted in a flood of guests descending on Parcelles they now operate by reservation only. Upon arriving, you place your order and pay right away and you are given a picnic basket with your cutlery and plates which you can take to a picnic table or to a spot in the field if you brought your own picnic blanket.
