Stopped here for lunch. I had the bratwurst and rosti. Wife had a vegetarian pastry with salad and my daughter had the chicken satay with fries. It was fine and A-OK is a good way to describe the whole experience.
My wife loved the vegetable pastry. Salad was good. Chicken satay was a bit dry. My bratwurst and rosti dish was good but not the best I'd had in Zermatt.
Service was OK and food came out fairly fast. At the time I visited, the servers didn't speak much English and, even though my German seemed to work elsewhere, it didn't work here. Had a problem getting my credit card(s) to work in their handheld machine and it took a while to pay. They finally had to take my card to the hotel reception to get it to work.
There are much better places and, I'm sure, places not as good in Zermatt. But, the price was OK for Zermatt at CHF70 for three people. Fine for lunch and a coffee or beer or quick bite before getting on/off the train.....station is just across the street. read more
