Our home warranty company referred us to a competitor who was horrible from the beginning. Feeling frustrated with their lack of professionalism, common sense and skill, on top of having both of our ovens broken right before thanksgiving, I fired the home warranty service AND the "repair center" and contacted Modern. They came out, assessed the situation, properly diagnosed the issue and ordered a new part with overnight delivery. Carlos, the repairman, came out both to diagnose and repair and both times he was very respectful and professional. My ovens are now fixed just in time for Thanksgiving for the soldiers. Thank you, Modern TV and Appliance for saving the holiday!

No one called me so I called them on the date I requested service. They sent me someone from another company out of Austin. He showed up in an unmarked car, a leaf blower, and a 6 foot cable attached to a power drill. IMO he wasn't equipped to service my dryer duct. For the money, I had what he brought and could have done the work myself but didn't because my duct is longer than 10 feet. Value - subpar at best.

I called last Monday (after hours) because my unit turned off. My issue. Got it! No one answered the on call, after hours phone. Luckily it wasn't too hot. Next morning, Tuesday called at 9am. I explained my issue to Holly. Once I was done explaining I inquired about the on call/after hours procedure. I let her know I called at 6pm, left a voicemail and the person didn't call back or respond with a text. My assumption would be that there are expectations with an after hours service, apparently not. Holly's response was short and could really care less. She advised that a tech would call. Fast forward to 230pm same day, no call from tech so I called the office. I asked when a tech would reach out because no one had called and the day was passing. Again her rude response was that a tech would call. Hung up and tech called my phone. He was on his way. She acted as if they were so busy but magically a tech was available. Tech discovered that wire had broken that needed to be fixed. He disconnected my unit. This took about 1.5 hours. 9pm my AC unit is still running. I could not get into my security system and the thermostat was sitting on the bathroom counter. I was at work while the work was being done. So I called Joey, the tech who came out and I called the after hours phone. I also texted Joey. I am not an HVAC tech hence the reason I solicited their service. After two or three missed calls Joey finally called me back. I had to flip the breakers, remove the cap that was over the active wires from the wall to my thermostat and re-plug them back in. Honestly, I never would have figured this out. My house was freezing cold because the AC had just been running for 6hrs. Joey was not rude, but the work was sloppy and unprofessional.

I requested a quote from Dawson regarding the part so I can approve purchase and get my dryer repaired. I've contacted them several times, and each time they tell me they will get back to me. So I've been without a working dryer for nearly a month. I'm trying to give them my business and get my appliance repaired, and they are not following through. Edit: after multiple requests for a quote on price of the needed repair item, and being told repeatedly that I will get this information the next day, it is only after I post a review that you tell me you cannot repair my unit, even if I pay for the part myself. I've never heard of a repair company that can't provide a repair.
