D which is super rare…read more(*serial #R0264 for those in the know) and really thinking at first I should ONLY take my amp to MESA and have Mike work on it (who actually built mine in '92) but I tried Tube Sonic out. Now I'm not a touring rock star but have been playing for 35 years and have to say Shane took my amp that was really f-'d up and made it sound better than any amp I've ever played. I don't lean heavy on what the distortion can put out on this amp but there were serious issues going on which pots, legs of things I forget what the hell they were called but all the power tubes, rectifier tubes as well as a couple pre-amp tubes even some other diodes or whatever had to be all worked on or replaced. I paid the $75 in the door fee (standard anywhere) to look at it which was applied to the end total all that for $375 which anyone who knows amps knows that is a screaming good deal. It took about 3 weeks and of course there were delays after he got into in being the amp was sick and ordering tubes, him speaking with Mike at Mesa (which I really appreciated him doing because who better to talk to than the guy who's signature is on the transformer from '92 who built the amp) and figuring out exactly what the f was going on with this rare amp that is highly sought after by many because its in the first 500. Now, this is the best sounding amp I've ever played and just got off the phone thanking Shane for a job well done and thought I'd leave a review of my honest experience with him who I highly recommend taking the time to try out. To get things right it takes a couple few weeks which if I went to Mesa it would have been months I'm sure. Oh, No amps were set on top of mine. Just referring to another review on here. Thanks Shane!!

Arc guitar is one of those fantastic places that makes this country great. The place is run by an…read moreexceptionally friendly guy who clearly loves his craft of making precision instruments, and repairing them. Keep in mind this is not a standard guitar shop. Instead, it is a relatively small wood-working studio with a front-entrance reception area for guests, who will see the luthiers making custom guitars to-order, and fixing them. The guitars that come out of this place are top-quality instruments, made with the finest woods and great precision, but also done entirely by hand, so you get a unique instrument each time. Because of this, the guitars are not cheap ones such as the $500 Yamahas you can find at Guitar Center. Expect to pay around $2K starting, for an instrument from this shop. While this might seem pricy, for the quality of instrument you get this is an EXCEPTIONAL deal. While this place offers guitars, repairs, and lessons, one of the greatest benefits it offers the surrounding community is its weekly guitar building workshop, where the owner instructs students on how to build a dream acoustic guitar (or Ukelele) of their choice, with the woods, styling, and decorative patterning they wish. While this might seem like an art that requires years of experience, the owner guides you from start to finish and students do not require a single bit of prior wood-working knowledge. You only pay for the cost of the materials ($700-1000), and then $50 per weekend session until the guitar is done (about 20-25 sessions, depending on skill and experience). Then you can outfit the guitar with additions like pickups, extra inlay, professional polishing, and other details to make it absolutely glisten so you walk away with a fine instrument you made all by your own hand. Without a doubt, this shop is a priceless location to have around, and its services and craft are something we all should take pride in having.

Hey everyone, I am a current student of Tom Truhitte in Florida. He is helping me rehab my voice…read more Tom is an exceptional vocal coach, and I would know; I've had several over the years. Sacramento, Folsom, Roseville and all points nearby, are incredibly lucky to have him back! Tom is a highly professional voice teacher who adapts to his students' needs--offering both in-person sessions and online singing lessons via Zoom. He is a Heldentenor with extensive Wagner performance experience, including portrayals of several of Wagner's most iconic characters at prominent opera houses and music festivals: A former Resident Artist with Opera San José, he also studied at Sacramento State University. I moved to Florida in November 2025 by intuition and in April 2026, followed through in contacting Tom after researching voice teachers in the area. He was the only teacher I considered. And not based on his website alone, but by the intuition I felt when I contemplated the person I was reading about. He just felt...right. Right as a human being and right as a coach for a singer who had been away from the classical singing world, or any singing, for some 26 years. And indeed, my time with him has proven out my intuition. As a teacher, he is unparalleled in my experience. TOM IS NOT SOFT. By that I mean, he will have expectations of you as a student to do the work outside the studio (the vocalises and breath work). He hears what you cannot hear in your voice, he listens to you, he analyzes, he suggests, he can be quite firm in asking you to do and try during lessons, as a good teacher should, but above all, he has endless patience and gives endless encouragement. Tom creates a safe space, vitally important. He takes great joy in teaching and it shows. He also possesses boundless energy and humor which buoy you up when you hit the wall or are unhappy with aspects of your vocal technique in the struggle to improve. I miss his in-person warmth and energy but our work continues over Zoom!

Thomas Truhitte's 5-star reviews truly don't do him justice. My 13-year-old son has been taking…read morevoice lessons with Thomas for about six months, and the growth we've seen has been remarkable. His singing has improved tremendously, and he now has the confidence and skills to pursue the musical theater roles he's been dreaming of. Thomas had a successful career performing around the world, and his depth of knowledge and experience is evident in every lesson. He is not only a brilliant opera singer, drummer, and pianist, but also an extraordinary teacher who genuinely cares about his students. He has helped my son develop not only his voice, but also his confidence, stage presence, and overall character. The results speak for themselves. My son was recently cast in a role without even having to audition in person--the director offered him the part based on his singing clip alone! Seeing that happen after only six months of working with Thomas was incredibly exciting and says so much about the progress he has made. One of the most valuable parts of each lesson is the life advice Thomas shares. His guidance on handling auditions, overcoming nerves, and approaching challenges with confidence is truly priceless. I have to admit--I find myself listening just as carefully as my son. Thomas is patient, encouraging, and gives 150% to every lesson. We genuinely look forward to every lesson. He has been such a blessing to our family that we now consider him part of our family. We can't recommend him highly enough.

I reached out to him and he responded promptly. Long story short, Chris spent a LOT of time on the repair. He was meticulous in the repair and wanted to get it right.
