Love Natomas Music Square!! All three of our kids are students! Their instructors are wonderful and our kids all connect well with them. Each instructor has their bio on their website which my kids liked so they could learn more about their instructors ahead of time. I appreciate their notification system and reminders for our scheduled classes making it super easy to manage. Also love that they are a locally owned business with a comfy waiting area to work while kids are in session! read more

My daughters have attended NMS off and on for many years. The staff and instructors are all absolutely amazing people and have made us feel part of the community. I HIGHLY recommend trying the DJ class with MS Kittie. My girls loved it and it's such a neat and unique experience to give your children. Ms Kittie is the kindest and most fun person, my girls love being around her! My oldest daughter even put her skills to work and DJd for one of her middle school dances. Thank you NMS! read more

My daughter has grown so much since starting art classes at Natomas Music Square. Allison is amazing with the kids. She guides them just enough to help, but never hovers, so they really get to explore their own creativity. I've noticed such a boost in my daughter's confidence and self-expression. If you're looking for a fun and supportive art class for your child, I can't recommend Natomas Music Square enough! You will not be disappointed. read more

My son has been taking lessons here for years. It's amazing to see how he has developed not only with his musical talent but his confidence. Doing music performances not only recitals but being in a band the music school has is amazing. He loves playing the drums and this last year was brave enough to sing some song for his band. I highly recommend this school for any parent that wants to give their child more than just music but help build them up with confidence and self discipline. Great atmosphere and amazing talented teachers. I have even started taking bass lessons in an adult band at the school and really enjoy it. read more

My daughters love natomas square. They're learning guitar and piano. The instructors are great with students.

Mable is the Best!! Both my boys have been taking lessons from her for about 5 years, once a week. She is very patient, friendly and understands each child's character. She approaches each student's learning through individualization. I would recommend her, her school and the staff she hires to nurture your child's musical interest. read more

Cheryl provides amazing signing lessons. Very professional, structured and fun. Our daughter is improving weekly.

I've taken piano lessons at Natomas Music Square for almost three years. I've learned so much, my teachers have always been patient and encouraging. They've always been understanding if I couldn't make it to a lesson and let them know if I was sick or something else. The staff is amazing, the studio is fun, and you definitely get what you pay for read more

Cindy and the rest of the staff are fantastic! They were patient and helped my sometimes shy, anxious daughter gain confidence enough to start participating in Mini Piano Lab. Now she looks forward to her weekly class and really enjoys the small group environment. We missed a few weeks due to various circumstances and it was great that they provide a recap email after each class. We were able to find the lesson in the book, and follow along with the YouTube link so that we weren't too far behind when we returned. We found this school after seeing the great reviews online, and now we can confirm that the reviews are true! We highly recommend! read more

Choose Natomas Music Square!!! It is a great school and environment to learn how to play an instrument, along with great staff and owner. I've known the owner, Cindy, for 15+ years and grew up learning how to play the piano from her since a young age and used to work at NMS. I definitely recommend this school to expand yours, your childrens', and/or your friend's skills about music. They provide a friendly environment that makes it fun to learn how to play an instrument along with ensuring your skills improve! :D read more

Natomas Music Square makes me sing with joy! It has been so lovely to revisit piano and take lessons once again. I am taking virtual lessons once a week and in not much time I have already noticed progress. Coming back to piano as an adult has been an interesting challenge, but the instructors at Natomas Music Square are versatile and can work well with students of any age! I have appreciated how flexible they are when a class makeup is needed and if I have any questions they always respond right away. They are great! read more

This review saddens me as I am dealing with an unexpected surgery and out of work. This company has no genuine sympathy for their customers after my children being long time students of this school. Monthly dues were taken from my account I asked for a 1 time refund that I could not afford right now and desperately needed for my family, They refused even after I explained the situation. And requested a 1 time exception and my children would be back as soon as I was able to walk and go back to work. But No they said and kept my money for classes my children are not attending right now.all I can say is wow! read more

He makes his best scheduling and offers the best times that work with your schedule: a considerable advantage and valuable services for busy moms like me. Lastly, he keeps you updated with changes in your children's lessons. read more

I'm taking violin lessons here and my 3yo son is doing the Mini Musicians class, and we both just love it. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Mini Musicians: My son was super shy at first, but Rory drew him in and got him to participate anyway. After a few weeks he's excited to go to class. Managing a class of 3-year-olds is like herding cats, but Rory is incredibly patient and really good at connecting with the kids. Even though they're unruly, she actually gets them to learn. My son remembers the lesson afterwards when I ask him about it. Violin lessons: I'm an adult returning to the violin after 15 years, so I was a little uncertain at first, but Erik put me at ease right away. He is patient and kind, and I never feel bad for sounding terrible. He's encouraging, easygoing, and fun to work with. And he really goes the extra mile in helping me learn the songs I'm interested in. When I was a kid, lessons were stressful and frustrating. Lessons at Natomas Music Square are enjoyable and I feel happy when I leave. read more

Natomas Music Square helped me find my beginnings as an artist. I've been with them ever since I was 6, and now I'm on my way to NYU Tisch for Directing/Musical Theatre! I truly believe it's because of this school I'm able to go where I'm going. They've built up my foundations as a vocalist and artist, and my technique has improved so much. The teachers and students are so kind, supportive, and welcoming. I've made many fond memories here and I'm sad I have to leave for college soon. I love this place and I hope many others will too! read more

I decided to update my review since I started coming back here again recently. We now signed up my 7 year old son for private piano lessons. We're absolutely loving it! It's only been about 6 weeks and we've seen amazing progress. Of course, homework is an important part of this process, but every lesson is specially crafted to help him come along. And my son seems to have no trouble wanting to practice his lessons. It's a great feeling knowing he's learning and enjoying himself along the way! I had no idea how much there was to know about piano playing. As an adult, I feel intimidated by the sheer amount of knowledge to learn. But as kids, they just pick it right up as they go along. Plus, they learn other important lessons as well: math, finger dexterity, timing, etc. Its pretty incredible to watch your child get to know an instrument. And the piano is such a beautiful one to start with. Special kuddos to our instructor Steve! We think he's an awesome instructor! read more

I signed my son up for a KidzRock music class beginning on 10/23. I received multiple emails (including day of) from NMS confirming his slot and that my payment had been processed successfully. I arrived the day of the class a few minutes ahead of my son and his father only to find there was no class despite still being able to register for it on the website up until 5:00 pm that day. No apology was given and the 4 employees standing in the room looked at me like I was a complete idiot. When I asked about getting a refund I was treated to some back and forth about taking another class and had to keep insisting this was the only time we had available. I finally got an eye roll and an "oh I guess I'll process that for you today then". I still haven't seen the refund come through. If you take a class here I'd call and check to make sure the class actually exists first. read more

We went to Natomas Music Square because its one of the very few places that offers classes for 3 yrs olds. Sadly, this place is very unorganized and unhelpful. They are not very good at scheduling or fixing problems that arise. My child was in the KiddyKeys class with one other student. When the other family decided they would not be continuing, they dropped the entire class from their schedule and I was not informed of this until I asked the question of when the next class was (they had a lot of "no class today" days). The one good thing about this place was his teacher. She was very friendly and engaged with the kids. I wish we could have worked with her away from NMS. read more

Susan is always available for questions and giving us feedback on our daughter's progress. The front office staff is friendly and always available to answer questions. read more

Unbelievable that they are this awesome!! My kids just love taking lessons from Cindy. She treats everybody like they are family. There are times they get so busy that I think they will implode but even with the demanding parents, screaming kids and novice instrument players she always has that big friendly smile. The entire staff from the front desk person to all the teachers is super cool. Thx again NMS!!! read more

I told someone in my company I was taking violin lessons and that it left me feeling there was more to be desired. They insisted I go check out Cindy Su at Natomas Music Square for the violin. I have to say I'm really glad I went to see her! She has a very engaging style of teaching, pragmatic together with creative, she seeks to understand your method of learning and adapts the lessons accordingly. Since I've joined the school I feel a there is a definite progression in my skills. Cindy is a caring and amazing school director which is a rarity in this industry. She seeks to really understand the student's motivations and works to keep you engaged. Learning music with Cindy has been an effortless process and I find myself practicing every chance I get. I definitely recommend Natomas Music Square to anyone who is interested in learning music or developing their skills. read more
